Overview

Zhou Yu is an Honor of Kings MOBA hero who has not been confirmed as a playable Resonance in Honor of Kings: World as of the April 10, 2026 S0 Season launch. He is a historical figure from the Three Kingdoms period, famous as a strategist and naval commander, and husband of Xiao Qiao.

Zhou Yu is not in the confirmed S0 Season launch roster of Honor of Kings: World (April 10, 2026). The verified 11 S0 Resonances are: Child of the Primal Flow, Dongfang Yao, Xi Shi, Meng Ya, Master Lu Ban, Sun Bin, Wang Zhaojun, Jialuo, Mulan, Kai, and Leng Chun. Zhou Yu has appeared in pre-launch trailers or demos in some cases, but has not been officially confirmed as a playable Resonance at the S0 launch. Any specific HoKW ability descriptions on earlier versions of this page should be treated as unverified.

Historical Background

The historical Zhou Yu (175 to 210 CE) was a military general and strategist under Sun Ce and later Sun Quan during the late Eastern Han Dynasty. He is best known for his leadership at the Battle of Red Cliffs in 208 CE, where he commanded the coalition that defeated Cao Cao's numerically superior forces using fire ships. His relationship with his wife Xiao Qiao is a recurring subject in Chinese literature and opera.

MOBA Identity

In the Honor of Kings MOBA, Zhou Yu is a mage hero whose kit revolves around fire-themed area attacks, drawing on his historical association with the fire attack at Red Cliffs. If he is added to Honor of Kings: World in a future season, his fire-control kit would fit a 强攻 (Offensive) mage role.
