Overview

Wang Zhaojun (王昭君) is a Resonance (共鸣) in Honor of Kings: World, confirmed in the S0 Season launch roster on April 10, 2026. She is an 强攻 (Offensive) ranged Resonance whose combat style uses ice-and-snow sorcery with a shield/barrier defensive layer. she is a Han princess sent to the Wolf Banner tribe (狼旗) in the Northern Wilds (北荒) as a diplomatic envoy, and her time with the tribe shapes her identity into the "Ice-Snow Goddess of the North Wilds" (北荒冰雪之神). Her S0 tagline is "寒梅倚归期，山水有相逢" ("The winter plum awaits her return date; mountains and waters will meet again").

Ice Crystal Resource

Wang Zhaojun's kit centers on an ice crystal resource generated by her basic attacks. Crystals are then consumed by her charged basic for scaling damage, which creates a build-and-spend loop. The key skill for clearing hordes and setting up burst windows is 禁锢寒霜 (Imprisoning Frost), which combines AoE damage with a freeze effect. Allies can then follow up on frozen targets with their own burst abilities.

Team Support Mechanic

compendium notes a team composition mechanic: Wang Zhaojun's 冰霜护体 (Frost Ward) shield extends a smaller barrier to nearby allies. This gives her a secondary utility function in co-op content even though her primary role is as an Offensive Resonance. Narrative Context

The historical Wang Zhaojun was a Han Dynasty court lady who was married to a Xiongnu chieftain for diplomatic reasons, a practice known as heqin (和亲). Honor of Kings: World adapts this by sending her from the Han court to the fictional Wolf Banner tribe (狼旗) in the Northern Wilds. Her time with the tribe shapes her into the "Ice-Snow Goddess of the North Wilds" (北荒冰雪之神), giving her command over cold-aspect Flow magic. The Wolf Banner tribe is a confirmed lore location in Honor of Kings: World's broader world, though the full Northern Wilds region is not playable at S0 launch.

• Use 禁锢寒霜 on clusters of enemies to freeze them for ally burst follow-ups

• Cast 冰霜护体 before entering dangerous areas; the shield persists after you move away from its origin

• In co-op, communicate with melee allies about when you will freeze a boss so they can chain ultimates
