Overview

The Twin Calamity Beasts Challenge (灾兽双影) is a high-difficulty co-op mode added in the second half of the S1 World Beginning Season. It fields two of the game's calamity beasts, the Crimson Divine Beast and the Azure Divine Beast, in a single arena fight built around a temperature-balance mechanic. Both beasts appear individually elsewhere in the game; this challenge is the first time they are fought as a pair.

Mechanics

The fight runs in three phases, with the two beasts taking the field in turns and together, and combination attacks layered on top of their familiar single-boss kits.

The defining twist is temperature. Standing in the arena continuously heats or cools the party depending on the environment and on boss abilities, and drifting too hot or too cold triggers penalties. Players manage the gauge by breaking flame pillars and ice pillars around the arena to pull body temperature back toward balance while keeping up damage.

Rewards

Clearing the challenge awards a Crimson Divine Beast statue for the home, plus 万相 and 梦演幽金 progression materials. A leaderboard ranks completions, and finishing in the top 10,000 grants the permanent title 天命伏魔. The title band was widened from the originally announced top 1,000 to the top 10,000 before the mode opened.
