Update with verified TiMi reorganization details and HoKW development credits
TiMi Studio Group (腾讯天美工作室群) is a first-party Tencent Games studio group and one of the largest game development organizations in China. TiMi is the developer of Honor of Kings: World, along with the original Honor of Kings MOBA, Call of Duty Mobile (with Activision), and a number of other Tencent titles. For Honor of Kings: World specifically, the development and live operations are handled by TiMi's L1/L2 Studio Group under the leadership of Li Min, with Chengdu Jiaxiangjiyue Technology Co., Ltd. as the registered operating entity.
In January 2025, TiMi Studio Group underwent an internal reorganization in which the formerly separate L1 and L2 sub-groups were merged into a combined L1/L2 Studio Group under Li Min (李旻), who had previously led L2. L2 was the sub-group originally responsible for Honor of Kings: World. The merger put the full Honor of Kings franchise (both the MOBA and HoKW) under a single leadership umbrella. Chinese press coverage (GamerSky, Tencent News, Southern Metropolis Daily) framed this as a consolidation move to improve coordination between the two titles.

Beyond Honor of Kings: World, TiMi Studio Group develops the original Honor of Kings MOBA (one of the highest-revenue mobile games in the world), Call of Duty Mobile (with Activision), Pokemon Unite (with The Pokemon Company), and a number of other first-party and collaborative titles. The studio is headquartered in Shenzhen with major offices in Chengdu, Shanghai, and other Chinese cities.
TiMi developed the original Honor of Kings MOBA, which launched in China in November 2015 and reached global Western markets in June 2024 under the Level Infinite label. Honor of Kings: World is a spin-off from that title set in the same universe but rebuilt as an action RPG rather than a MOBA. The two games share an IP and a hero roster but do not share progression, item purchases, or a game engine. Only friend list intimacy carries over from the MOBA to HoKW. The January 2025 L1/L2 merger is expected to improve coordination between the two products for cross-promotion and shared lore events.
