Overview

Tianshang (天赏, Tiānshǎng, 'Heavenly Reward') is Honor of Kings: World's cosmetic-only skin banner, the game's closest equivalent to a traditional gacha. Critically, Tianshang is skin-only. There is no character gacha or weapon gacha at S0 launch. All 11 launch Resonances are obtainable through free gameplay progression.

Launch Banner

The S0 launch Tianshang banner featured a Dongfang Yao angel-themed skin. Subsequent banners rotate through other hero cosmetics at the same 160 Jingpo/pull structure. Tencent has stated each banner's base rates and guaranteed-pull structure are published on world.qq.com before the banner goes live.

What Tianshang Sells

Confirmed categories for Tianshang banners:

• Hero skins (皮肤): Alternative visual outfits for launch Resonances.

• Main-character outfits: Skins for the Child of the Primal Flow, including the 18,000-Jingpo top-luxury tier.

• Weapon skins (幻化): Cosmetic-only reskins of Ningwu weapons.

• Emotes, portraits, and other vanity items

Not in Tianshang

Items explicitly NOT in Tianshang:

• Resonance heroes (all obtained through free gameplay progression)

• Ningwu weapon stats or tiers (cosmetic-only)

• Inscriptions or any gear with combat stats

Design Positioning

Tencent explicitly positioned Tianshang's cosmetic-only scope as a differentiator against Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves, and other character-gacha competitors. The 2,400 CNY full-guarantee cost is high relative to individual pulls, but the hard 15-pull pity ensures a player who commits to a banner always completes the set within a known budget. This predictability was a common piece of praise in Chinese launch reviews.
