Overview

Shadow-Slaying Challenge (破敌灭影, Pòdí Mièyǐng, 'Defeat Enemies, Destroy Shadows') is a boss-focused launch challenge event in Honor of Kings: World, part of the Hello World launch umbrella. The event rewards one of the game's most distinctive launch-window Huanling companions: the Crimson Divine Beast.

Event Design

The challenge focuses on completing boss-fight encounters against shadow-themed enemies. Players progress through a series of challenge tiers with escalating difficulty, earning event currency and eventually unlocking the Crimson Divine Beast (猩红神兽) Huanling spirit summon as the headline reward.

Crimson Divine Beast Huanling

The Crimson Divine Beast is a powerful combat companion with strong stats and distinctive visual design. It is one of the headline rewards of the S0 launch window and is exclusive to players who complete the Shadow-Slaying Challenge during the event window. Note that this Huanling is distinct from (though thematically related to) the world boss Crimson Stone Statue also referenced in launch coverage; the Huanling is a companion form rather than a hostile boss encounter.

Duration
