Overview

Primaera is the vast continent that serves as the open-world setting of Honor of Kings: World. Spanning approximately 64 square kilometers, the world blends traditional Chinese historical and mythological aesthetics with fantastical landscapes, creating a visually rich eastern fantasy environment powered by Unreal Engine 5.

Regions

Primaera is divided into multiple explorable regions, each with distinct environments, enemies, and lore:

• Jixia Academy — A center of learning and philosophy, featuring grand architecture and scholarly NPCs. Serves as an early-game hub area.

• Springbrook Plains — Rolling grasslands dotted with rivers and ancient ruins. Home to various wildlife and introductory combat encounters.

• Stargazing Range — Mountainous highlands with celestial observation sites. Features elevated terrain and verticality-focused exploration.

• Underground Ruins — A subterranean network of ancient structures and hidden passages. Contains challenging enemies and rare treasure.

• Dragon Valley — A mystical canyon region steeped in draconic mythology. Home to powerful boss encounters.

• Aerfall Highlands — Windswept plateaus with floating rock formations and aerial traversal opportunities.

• Dreamweave Plains — An ethereal region where reality blurs with myth, featuring surreal environmental storytelling.

Dynamic Weather

Primaera features a dynamic weather system that cycles through various conditions including rain, fog, thunderstorms, and clear skies. Weather affects visibility, enemy behavior, and certain gameplay mechanics. A full day-night cycle also influences NPC schedules and the availability of specific encounters.

Exploration

The open world is designed for both solo and cooperative exploration. Players can traverse the landscape on foot or using mounts, with environmental puzzles, hidden collectibles, and secret areas rewarding thorough exploration. Points of interest are scattered across every region, encouraging players to venture off the beaten path.
