Overview

Master Lu Ban (鲁班大师) is a Resonance (共鸣) in Honor of Kings: World, confirmed in the S0 Season launch roster on April 10, 2026. He is a Support-role Resonance whose kit has been redesigned from his Honor of Kings MOBA version into a mechanical-summon focused toolkit suited to the open-world action RPG format. He is a member of Jixia Academy and is tied thematically to the Mozi Mohist Machinery tradition of the academy.

Identity

In Honor of Kings lore, Master Lu Ban is an inheritor of the ancient Chinese engineering and carpentry traditions named after the historical figure Lu Ban (considered the father of Chinese craftsmanship). In Honor of Kings: World he appears as a student or instructor at Jixia Academy who works within the Mechanism Way (机关) branch, alongside the tradition descended from Master Mozi's Mohist Machinery.

Combat Role

Master Lu Ban is a 辅助 (Support) Resonance whose Honor of Kings MOBA pull ability has been redesigned. In the MOBA, Lu Ban's signature was a crowd-control pull that dragged enemies toward him. For Honor of Kings: World, TiMi has redesigned this into a mechanical-summon combat kit, where Master Lu Ban deploys and controls small mechanical constructs that fight alongside him. This is consistent with the broader approach of HoKW adapting MOBA kits for the action RPG format.

• Deploy mechanical summons to create zone control and split enemy attention

• Use his pull and control abilities to set up opportunities for allied Offensive Resonances

• Position behind the front line so his constructs can intercept enemies before they reach the backline

• Pair with Offensive Resonances whose burst damage benefits from immobilized targets

• In boss encounters, his summons can maintain pressure while the party deals with boss-specific mechanics
