Rockstar's tagline for the region is "Keeping Leonida Sweet," and the subheading reads: "The battle for the health and wealth of Leonida begins here." The full official description states: "In the heart of Leonida, American industry and old school values still reign supreme, whatever the cost. The Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, while the local biker gang provides almost everything else."

Ambrosia is one of six confirmed major regions in Grand Theft Auto VI, alongside Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Grassrivers, and Mount Kalaga National Park. It sits in Ambrosia County in the central-northeastern part of the state, on the southwestern bank of Lake Leonida.

The Company Town

Ambrosia is a company town in the truest sense. One corporation controls the jobs. One gang controls everything else. Sugar cane burning is a real agricultural practice still used in South Florida. Before harvest, farmers burn the outer leaves of sugar cane fields to make the stalks easier to cut and process. The fires produce thick black smoke that drifts across surrounding communities. In real life, this practice has drawn significant public health criticism from residents near Lake Okeechobee, who report respiratory issues during burn season. Rockstar's inclusion of burning fields in their Ambrosia screenshots is a pointed reference to this controversy.

Allied Crystal also appears to have its own political operation. The company's logo on Erin Henshaw's campaign signs suggests Allied Crystal funds local elections to maintain favorable regulatory conditions. This mirrors real criticisms of U.S. Sugar's political influence in Florida, where the company has historically been one of the largest political donors in the state.

Final Chapter MC

The Final Chapter MC is an outlaw motorcycle club that controls Ambrosia's underground economy. Rockstar's official description refers to them only as "the local biker gang" without naming them in the promotional text. The "Final Chapter MC" name comes from patches visible on member clothing in trailer footage and official screenshots. According to their patches, the club was established in 1982.

The Final Chapter MC has a confirmed clubhouse in Ambrosia. Their relationship with Allied Crystal defines the town: the refinery provides legal employment, and the MC provides the criminal infrastructure that fills every gap the company leaves open. This is not a hostile arrangement. The two powers coexist, with Allied Crystal controlling the legitimate economy and the Final Chapter MC controlling the illegitimate one.

Real-World Inspiration

The name "Ambrosia" itself is a nod to sweetness. In Greek mythology, ambrosia was the food of the gods, associated with honey and immortality. Rockstar chose a name that reinforces the sugar theme while carrying mythological weight: this is a place that calls itself sweet but operates on exploitation.

Dexerto's real-world comparison article noted that the Allied Crystal refinery's architecture closely resembles the U.S. Sugar facility in Clewiston. Position on the Leonida Map

Its position around Lake Leonida makes it the geographic heart of the state, surrounded by all other major regions.

Getting to Ambrosia from Vice City requires crossing through either Grassrivers or taking inland highways. The region is not on the coast, not on an island, and not in the mountains.
