Revision 2

Agil is a returning Sword Art Online character who appears in Echoes of Aincrad as a two-handed axe user. He meets the protagonist's party at the raid, and he is one of the characters the player can take on quests as a partner. This page covers him only as he appears in this game.

Official Profile

The official profile describes Agil as a two-handed axeman who is both calm and reliable, and who meets the player's party in the raid. It also notes that he seems quite particular about his cooking. His line on the official roster is an observation that the party is clearly doing its best but may be wearing itself out, which fits the steady role the profile gives him.

A Note on the Pre-Launch Description

Before launch, the only official description of a two-handed axe user was of an easygoing veteran gamer whose true intentions were unclear, and that description was sometimes attached to Agil. The official profiles give it to Musoh, a different character. Agil's profile has none of that ambiguity.

Role in the Game

Agil is listed on the partner roster covered on the NPC Companions page, which is where to check when he becomes available. He is one of two two-handed axe users on the official character roster, alongside Musoh, and his Combination Skill and Support Skill are listed on the Combination Skills and Support Skills page.

His Support Skill is Taunt, which pulls nearby enemies onto him. The Ver. 1.0.6 update on September 25, 2026 extended its duration.
