The Abyssal Dragon is the player character of Dinghai: The Ocean Pillar. He was once a legendary general who served under Emperor Yan before he was stripped of his name, cast into exile, and slain in battle.

For centuries after his death, only a sliver of his soul survived. Through a forbidden curse, he seizes a new body and returns to the mortal world, carrying the weight of unfinished business from his former life. His return sets the events of the story in motion.
