A Vampirism build concentrates on claw damage, blood-based recovery and night abilities. It still needs a daytime plan: the same character must sometimes fight without Voracious Bite, Shadowstep or the other night powers.
Build priorities
Detail | Requirement |
|---|---|
Night priorities | Claw damage, critical chance, Vampiric ability cooldown and blood-drinking restoration |
Day priorities | Perfect Block Window, charge restoration and a suitable sword |
Progression gate | Corruption opens night perks; named vampire blood unlocks several abilities. |
Early foundation
Begin with Voracious Bite for recovery and Dirty Trick or Charge for interruptions while the bite is unavailable. Razorsharp Claws, Restless Claws, Clawpierce and Nourishing Blood support damage, stamina and healing. Endless Hunger expands the health pool.
Perfect Block, Perfect Riposte and Counterattack from Swordmastery remain useful alongside the night tree. Shapeshift improves travel, while Mercurial Fervour serves the daytime journey. Check training costs rather than buying every support perk immediately.
Developing the night setup
Scarlet Shield adds healing from blocks once its blood unlock is obtained from Ambrus. Piercing Shriek comes through the Isbrand route in Our Rotten Roots or a suitable phial, so it is not guaranteed in the first encounters. It weakens enemies and rewards blocking their attacks.
Endless Ferocity and Dancing Claws support repeated attacks and shorter cooldowns. Blood Theft lets attacks recover recently lost health. Shred adds bleeding as the claw setup matures. Lethal Crescendo is a capstone option for stacking claw damage from kills and depleted boss health segments; its stacks reset when combat ends.
Equipment and fighting
Ambrus's Cuirass, Vrakhiric Bracers, Corrupted Pendant and Ring of the Night are equipment options for the night preset. Prioritize their relevant bonuses and upgrade pieces that remain useful. During the day, a sword such as Durandal and a chestpiece such as Pieter's Garb provide a separate foundation.
Use Shadowstep to reposition around dangerous attacks and isolate a target. Keep Voracious Bite available when health recovery matters rather than spending it automatically at full health. A claw-focused setup does not require abandoning the option to use a sword at night.
