Updated Steam patch status and ability reset guidance
1-The Blood of Dawnwalker released on September 3, 2026 and began receiving fixes the same day. This page covers the published PC updates through Update 1.1, released on Steam on October 22, 2026. The Steam announcement does not establish a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S rollout date, so its changes should not be assumed to describe a console build.1+The Blood of Dawnwalker released on September 3, 2026 and began receiving fixes the same day. This page covers the published PC updates through Update 1.1, released on Steam on October 22, 2026. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S rollout dates for these changes remain unconfirmed.2233Day-One Patch4455A day-one patch shipped alongside the release itself rather than after it. The studio described it as a further polish pass across the whole experience and did not publish an itemised note list for it, so most of the specific changes it carried are not documented.6677One thing it did carry is documented, and it was the subject of a public reversal. A console gameplay trailer shortly before launch showed the game targeting forty frames per second, which was read as confirmation that sixty was off the table. The studio then stated that a performance mode had been in testing all along and that the results had arrived in time to commit to it, and it shipped in the day-one patch. The console graphics modes are therefore part of the launch build rather than a later addition.8899ConsolePerformanceBalancedQualityPlayStation 560 fps target40 fps target30 fps targetXbox Series X60 fps target40 fps target30 fps targetXbox Series SNot offeredNot offered30 fps onlyPlayStation 5 Pro60 fps target40 fps target30 fps target, plus unspecified visual enhancements1010An earlier version of this page recorded the console performance mode as unconfirmed. That is now settled: it is in the shipped build. Note that the console storefront capability lists still declare no frame-rate capability for the game, which is a gap in the storefront metadata rather than evidence against the modes.11111212Hotfix 1.0.213131414Released September 3, 2026 for PC, on launch day.15151616ChangeDetailFarkas dialogueCoen can talk to Farkas even after killing all of the characters standing around him, where the conversation had previously become unreachable.Tutorial escortLunka no longer gets lost while leading Coen during the tutorial.Uriashi blacksmithThe uriashi blacksmith can now craft a certain holy sword. It added DualSense controller support on the Steam build, which addresses part of the third known issue recorded in the previous hotfix.25252626Hotfix 1.0.427272828Released September 9, 2026 for PC. The studio led with stability, several quest-progression blockers, a bug that stopped players saving at all, frame-rate drops caused by outdated controller software, and torches that could grow uncontrollably.29293030AreaChangesStabilityMultiple improvements to the game's stability.GameplayTutorial progress is no longer blocked when Voracious Bite is used too quickly. Torches can no longer grow uncontrollably. Quality preset mods now apply properly.PluginFixed problems with VSync while frame generation is in use. See Unreal Engine 5.3131Three of these lines are useful outside the patch itself, because they confirm content by name in the shipped build: Voracious Bite as a vampiric ability, Crake as a character Coen trains alongside, and a displayed difficulty level attached to individual quests.32323333Hotfix 1.0.534343535Released September 10, 2026 for PC. A single change: improvements to the shader compilation pipeline, which the studio says can resolve stuttering for some players. That addresses the shader-related problems acknowledged back in the 1.0.2 note.36363737Since Hotfix 1.0.538383939Hotfix 1.0.5 remained the latest published note through October 19, 2026. Update 1.1 followed on Steam on October 22, with gameplay changes and a larger set of fixes.40404141New Game Plus42424343There is no New Game Plus mode at launch. Completing one of the endings sends the player back to the title screen, and carrying on means loading an earlier save (the failure ending, when the thirty days run out, is the exception and leaves the world open). On a Polish PlayStation livestream on September 10, 2026, director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz was reported to have said that New Game Plus is coming, without giving a date. Community mods that imitate the mode are not the official feature.44444545Numbering46464747No 1.0.1 hotfix appears in the published feed. The jump from the launch build to 1.0.2 is what the studio published, and nothing on this page should be taken as evidence that an unlisted intermediate patch exists.48484949Console Builds505051-The console versions received the day-one patch and the graphics modes described above.
