Trouble with Silver is an alley encounter in Svartrau after the prologue. A soldier confronts a woman over her silver, and Coen can intervene or allow the arrest.

The confrontation
Both telling the soldier to leave her alone and advising her to give him what he wants lead to combat. Staying out of the dispute lets him arrest her and ends the quest without a reward.
After defeating the soldier, talk to the woman. Fully draining him with Voracious Bite at night still grants completion rewards but skips her conversation, including the chance to buy the brooch. Giving in to hunger during her nighttime conversation also ends the interaction.
Buying and selling the brooch
The woman offers the Silver Brooch for 50 Denarii. Buying it is optional; declining still completes the quest. Svartrau's Silver Trader pays 95 Denarii for it, producing a 45-Denarii profit on this purchase.
