The Price of Magic starts at an unfinished ritual near Swamp Menhirs Shrine in The Silts. The dead wizard's memories explain how to finish it and obtain the Mysterious Bracelet.

The wizard's catalysts
Inspect the corpse and ritual with Focus Mode. Search the circle for De Vocatione et Ligatione, the Pendant, Torn Out Page, Discarded Torch and the gift box or bracelet. These objects provide catalysts for Compel Soul.
Question the wizard's soul with the recovered objects until the central runic stone becomes the next objective.
Completing the ritual
Interact with the middle stone to finish the ritual, then defeat all the Spectres it summons. Clearing the enemies completes the quest and awards the Mysterious Bracelet.
The reward occupies the bracer slot despite its ring-like appearance. It has no Weapon Art, so its name and appearance should not be used to classify it as a ring.
