Added quest route, decisions and completion rewards
The Heart Wants What It Wants is Ocha's quest in Svartrau. Coen can follow her plan against Andrei or resolve the confrontation by force, with a failed hex creating a dangerous decision for Nora.
Detail | Requirement |
|---|---|
Start | Speak to Ocha in the Altenmarkt tavern, win the fistfight and agree to help. |
Availability | Day or night |
Time cost | 4 segments |
Completion | 250 XP, 150 Denarii and Soul Stigma Manual |
For daytime entry, pay the beggar outside 50 Denarii, then tell Dragan the Butcher you have silver to sell and want to show it to Andrei. At night, Shadowstep reaches the southern balcony.
The correct memento is Andrei's Ring. During the day, avoid the hostile dialogue, keep him talking and take it when he is distracted. At night, use Focus Mode to locate the small chest and leave without going downstairs, which triggers combat.
Killing Andrei early skips the hex route. If you recover a memento, meet Ocha outside to learn Nora has been kidnapped. You can storm the hideout together or continue the plan.
For the hex, release the pigs to distract the guards and draw the symbol at the window beside Andrei's door. The ring lets the spell kill him. With the wrong memento, the spell fails: intervene to save Nora or stay hidden and let her die. A fight follows either way, and Andrei dies regardless of the route.
Meet Ocha at St. Tobias' Bridge, southwest of the Middens. You can collect three crayfish from the river with Focus Mode before continuing the conversation.
Saying that new things can be exciting and that neighbours helped encourages her to remain in Svartrau. Preferring homemade food and describing the villagers as selfish encourages a return to Uriash Village. Her destination can affect A Mother's Plea.
On PC, Hotfix 1.0.4 fixed a progression blocker in this quest and the bug that made Ocha attack Coen when guards attacked him. See Update History for the patch's platform scope.
