Pearl Abyss revealed the full English voice cast for Crimson Desert on February 25, 2026 through a Behind the Voices video released during IGN Fan Fest. The cast features experienced performers from major game and television productions, including actors known for their work in Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate 3, Arcane, and Final Fantasy XIV.
All voice acting in the game is performed by human actors. Pearl Abyss has confirmed that no AI voice technology was used in any aspect of the production.
Character | Voice Actor | Notable Credits |

Stewart Scudamore | Rictus in Arcane; Boz Ghaidos in Carnival Row
Peter Bramhill | Thancred in Final Fantasy XIV

Alastair Parker | Blackwall in Dragon Age: Inquisition |
Newman described Kliff as someone with "a strong moral compass" who "knows very clearly what is right and what is wrong." He noted that Kliff initially appears reserved but gradually "loosens up and opens up more" as he reunites with his companions. Newman drew inspiration from his Scottish heritage when shaping the character's voice and mannerisms.
Hanssen described Damiane as "both a brave warrior" with an "uncompromising streak." She found it rewarding to portray a character so "unapologetically combative," and said the role allowed her to "channel a more hardheaded side of herself." Damiane's assertiveness and refusal to back down from her beliefs defined the vocal performance.
Scudamore initially pictured Oongka as a "beastlike, ferocious" archetype but came to realize the character possessed philosophical depth. He described Oongka as "someone who understands how the world works" with a practical wisdom that goes beyond his imposing physical presence.
Crimson Desert launches with full voice acting in three languages: English, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. Players can select their preferred voice language independently of text and subtitle language settings.
The voice production used full performance capture alongside traditional recording. Actors worked with motion capture data to match their vocal delivery to the physical performances seen in-game. The Behind the Voices video showed actors in recording studios discussing their characters' motivations and how the BlackSpace Engine's detailed character animations helped them connect with their roles.
