Two-Handed Staffs
May 24, 2026 at 07:45 AM
Added 2-Handed Weapons family classification and staff examples.
Two-handed staffs are versatile weapons used for both melee combat and channeling abilities. Unlike purely physical weapons, staffs often carry magical properties or are associated with mystical traditions. They offer a unique combat style that blends defensive blocking, sweeping strikes, and potentially enhanced abilities. Staffs are favored by sorcerers, priests, and warriors who blend physical and supernatural fighting styles.
Staffs can be upgraded through the refining system to increase their base stats. Many support Abyss Core slots for further customization.
There are 8 staffs currently known in Crimson Desert. The table below lists all of them sorted by grade and attack power.

Staffs provide a unique combat experience that differs from other two-handed weapons. Their double-ended design allows for rapid alternating strikes, while their length provides reach similar to spears. Some staffs enhance the wielder's abilities or carry special properties tied to their magical nature. Staff combat emphasizes fluid movement and versatile attack patterns.

Two-Handed Staffs sit inside the 2-Handed Weapons family. Crimson Desert sorts its weapons into five top-level families: 1-Handed Weapons, 2-Handed Weapons, Ranged Weapons, Shields, and Daggers, and staffs share their family with other large two-handed melee weapons rather than having a separate top-level slot.
Notable entries in the staff group include the Sorcerer's Staff and the Shaman's Staff, both of which slot into the same two-handed melee handling and combo system as the rest of the 2-Handed Weapons family.
