Add community guide notes and reindeer cloak tip (DPJ transcript).
Snowwhite Deer is a legendary deer mount introduced in Patch 1.01.00 of Crimson Desert. It is one of three legendary animal mounts added in the patch, along with the Silver Fang and White Bear. Two boss-obtained legendary mounts, the Rock Tusk Warthog and Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex, round out the set of five.
The Snowwhite Deer is a frail, non-combat-oriented mount. It has low HP and is not especially fast in a straight line, but its main advantage lies in agility. A bounding leap ability lets it clear obstacles and navigate rough terrain more effectively than most ground mounts. It also has a charge attack similar to the Rock Tusk Warthog's, though weaker. With 300 Stamina, it offers decent endurance, though this falls short of a fully upgraded horse. The Snowwhite Deer is primarily chosen for its aesthetics and terrain-crossing capability rather than speed or combat power.
Snowwhite Deer has fixed stats. Unlike horse mounts, legendary mounts do not level up or gain new abilities over time.
Stat | Value |
|---|---|

The Snowwhite Deer is found in the Paloon region. Its spawn location is just above the "A" in Paloon on the world map. Because animals can roam, it may not be at the exact marked position; check the surrounding vicinity if it is not immediately visible.
Unlike the Silver Fang, which is a predator that attacks on sight, the Snowwhite Deer will run away when it detects the player. The player must chase it down and defeat it in combat, then skin it to collect a crafting item. Fire is effective when hunting legendary animals.
Take the item to a Witch NPC. Under "Craft Abyss Gear," navigate to the special items tab and craft a sigil. Consuming the sigil permanently registers the Snowwhite Deer as a summonable mount. If you killed the deer before the patch, the crafting item is automatically placed in your inventory when you next launch the game.
The Snowwhite Deer has two notable abilities:
Charge Attack: A forward charge that knocks enemies aside. This works similarly to the Rock Tusk Warthog's charge, but the deer's version deals less damage and has less knockback force.
Bounding Leap: A high, arcing jump that allows the deer to clear obstacles, fences, rocks, and uneven terrain that would stop most other mounts. This is the deer's primary advantage and makes it effective for navigating areas with lots of elevation changes or tight spaces.
The Snowwhite Deer is not built for sustained combat. Its low HP means it will go down quickly if surrounded, and its attack output is minimal. Players who plan to fight should dismount and engage on foot, or switch to a more combat-capable mount like the White Bear.
Strengths:
Bounding leap allows it to clear obstacles and rough terrain better than most mounts
300 Stamina provides solid endurance for extended riding sessions
Permanent summonable mount; always available from anywhere
Visually striking and elegant appearance
Charge attack offers some utility for knocking enemies out of the way while fleeing
Weaknesses:
Low HP makes it very fragile; unsuitable for combat scenarios
Not especially fast in a straight line; slower than horses and the Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex
Less stamina than a fully maxed horse
Charge attack is weaker than the Rock Tusk Warthog's version
Primarily an aesthetic choice with some terrain-crossing utility

Horse Taming - Guide to taming wild horses
The Snowwhite Deer was added to Crimson Desert in the same mount patch that introduced the White Bear, the Silver Fang, the Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex, and the Rock Tusk Warthog. It is a quick mount that includes a forward charge attack, which players use to knock over enemies while riding.
Community guides describe the target deer herd as spawning in Balenos, just north of Heidel. A fast travel point sits right at the edge of the spawn zone, so you can land on top of the herd without a long ride. The deer scatter across both sides of a nearby lake. If the herd is not visible, run a short distance away and return to force them to respawn.
Deer in this area bolt as soon as you approach, which makes landing the first strike very difficult. Equipping the reindeer cloak with the deer disguise lets you walk up to the herd without scaring them off, which often turns a ten minute chase into a single clean kill. Players who do not yet own the cloak can either chase the deer on foot or try to corner one against terrain.
After killing the deer, be sure to skin it to collect the Snowwhite Deer antlers. Bring the antlers to any witch vendor, for example the witch in the Witch Woods southwest of Heidel that most players unlock first. Open the witch's workshop, pick Craft Abyssal Gear, and craft the Sigil of Solidarity for the Snowwhite Deer. Use the sigil from your inventory, then scroll through the mount wheel (hold up on the D pad on controller) to whistle for the deer.
