Seotda

Separate documented two-card Duo from the Five-Card account and related challenges.
Seotda is the label used on this page for Duo. A Bloom of High Stakes is its related challenge, not an alternative name for the gambling minigame in Crimson Desert. Earlier notes describe a Korean-style card-stick game; documented Duo rules should not be replaced with assumptions from real-world games. It is one of the side activities available throughout Pywel and can award Silver through play, with earlier farming reports kept separate from guaranteed current returns.

Duo and Five-Card tables are documented in different settlements. The table keeps the earlier Tommaso and Beighen price accounts; the selected Duo guide quotes 15 Silver for entry. Five-Card is also documented in Odeck for a specific challenge, so these rows are not a complete current location census:
Location | Game Type | Buy-In Cost |
|---|---|---|
15 Silver | ||
Tommaso | 300 Silver | |
Beighen (Northern Region) | 150 Silver |
The Hernand inn has a documented upstairs Duo table in the City of Hernand. Earlier notes call this the lowest-stakes route and describe Tommaso as a 300-Silver high-stakes option. Keep those older price comparisons distinct from a current universal buy-in or highest-price claim.
Duo begins by dealing two cards to each player. The earlier five-stick deal, removal of three sticks totaling 10, 20 or 30, and two-stick remainder belong to the separate Five-Card account on this page; the selected Duo guide does not describe that grouping step for baseline Duo.
Points are calculated from the sum of your two drawn cards. If the sum exceeds 10, you subtract 10 from the result. For example, if your drawn cards show 6 and 9, the total is 15, but you subtract 10, leaving you with 5 points.
You have a 10-second decision window each round to choose your action. If time expires without a choice, the game defaults to a Call.
The table retains an earlier quick hand-order account. A dated Duo quick guide lists a pair of 10, other pairs and descending point totals, while the in-game View Hands reference also includes Special Hands and Ranked Hands that outrank plain points. Do not treat the quick table as a complete ordering of every special hand or assume its old failure row proves a three-stick grouping rule for Duo.
Earlier quick rank | Hand Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
1 | Ten Pair | Earlier quick account: Both drawn cards are 10s. This is an automatic win against any non-special hand. |
2 | Pair | Both sticks share the same number (1 through 9). Higher pairs beat lower pairs (e.g., a pair of 9s beats a pair of 3s). |
3 | Perfect Nine | Earlier quick account: The two drawn cards sum to exactly 9. This is the strongest non-pair hand. |
4 | Points (1-8) | The two sticks sum to a single digit other than 9. Higher totals beat lower totals. |
5 | Bust | Earlier variant notes describe no valid combination and an automatic loss. That does not establish a three-stick grouping failure in the documented two-card Duo game. |
Hold the View Hands prompt to inspect Special Hands and Ranked Hands; the documented Duo guide says these outrank ordinary point totals. It also recommends the Deceiver's Fedora to reveal opponents' cards. Earlier notes say tied points cause a draw and a fresh round; exact tie and rematch exceptions should be checked in the relevant in-game hand reference.
An earlier Five-Card account describes Beighen as a location and uses colored combinations in an expanded hand hierarchy. A completion guide also documents a Five-Card challenge in Odeck. The older rank and color table below is not independently established by the selected Duo guide:
Rank | Hand Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
1 | Prime Pair | Red 3 and Red 8 together. Guaranteed win with no exceptions. |
2 | Superior Pair | Red 1 paired with either Red 3 or Red 8. |
3 | Ten Pair | Any two 10-value sticks. |
4 | Pair | Any matching numbers (higher pairs beat lower pairs). |
5 | One-Plus Combinations | A 1 paired with another card. Priority order: 1+2 (best), then 1+4, 1+9, 1+10. |
Earlier notes name Warden and High Warden as rematch-producing Special Hands in Duo and Five-Card. The selected guides confirm a Special/Ranked hand reference for Duo, but do not independently settle those named mappings or every rematch boundary. Keep the older weaker-hand/rematch explanation as a variant account.
A Bloom of High Stakes is the Duo challenge: its documented objectives are a three-win streak and wins against one, two and three opponents at least once each. Key of Destiny is the Five-Card challenge documented at Odeck after completing the Executioner of Justice faction-quest chain. The guide distinguishes playing Five-Card before that point from unlocking this challenge; the quest requirement is not a universal gate on all Five-Card play.
The Deceiver's Fedora is documented as working in both Duo and Five-Card. One route is to finish the Tommaso arena quests, visit the upper-level Mineral Shop and raise that vendor's Trust to 100. The guide quotes 97 Silver; this is a documented price account, not a guarantee of every current shop's stock or price. Wear it before sitting down to use its hand-viewing aid, separately from learning to cheat. It does not guarantee a win.
Action | Effect |
|---|---|
Check | Pass without raising the bet. |
Call | Match the opponent's current bet. This is the default if time expires. |
Half Raise | Bet 50% of the current pot. |
Double Raise | Bet double the previous wager. |
All In | Wager all of your available Silver on this round. |
Fold | Forfeit the round and lose your current wager. |
Both Kliff and NPCs can cheat in Duo. Learning the cheating mechanic is one of the most powerful tools for consistently winning.
Earlier cheating-unlock notes describe a blue-outlined opponent and three observations before learning Cheat for Kliff. That is an older count and workflow account, not an observation total established by the selected card guides. Do not infer a different cheating count from generic combat system observation changes.
Earlier cheating notes say Hide Hand appears while Kliff deals and lets him choose a number and color to insert. The completion guide describes hiding a card when shuffling and putting it into the deck at a later prompt. Older Five-Card advice targets Red 3 or Red 8 for a Prime Pair; it is not a verified guarantee that this wins every hand.
The documented Duo tell concerns the dealing animation, rather than a winning streak alone. One guide contrasts a top draw with thumbs down against a side draw with the thumb up; another describes hiding a card toward the throat or sleeve. These are specific animation descriptions, not a rule that every sideways motion proves cheating. Earlier notes say a correctly accused player is removed and money redistributed, while a false accusation causes roughly a two-day ban; those penalty details remain an older account.
Save before entering: Save your game manually before sitting at a gambling table. You can reload if things go poorly.
Earlier AI observation: Go all-in early with strong hands: With 5 or more points in Duo (or a 7+ pair in Five-Card), push aggressively early in the round. The AI tends to call all-in bets in the early rounds even with weak cards.
Earlier later-round observation: Avoid late-round play: The AI becomes more conservative in later rounds. Your best Silver gains come from early aggression.
Earlier farming recommendation: Use cheating strategically: Once unlocked, the Cheat ability turns Duo into a reliable money-making tool, especially when combined with Five-Card at Beighen.
You can see one of your opponent's cards before deciding whether to Raise or Fold, so use that information to gauge the risk of each round.
