Overview

The Perch is a small freshwater fish in Crimson Desert. A freshwater species that requires a bit of practice to reel in. Common in rivers and lakes throughout the Hernand region. It is logged in the Knowledge menu under Creatures > Aquatic Creatures once caught.

Rivers and lakes throughout the Hernand region. Perch are found alongside Bass as one of the core intermediate-level freshwater catches. Once you discover this species, its location is marked in the Knowledge menu under Creatures > Aquatic Creatures. Select "Open Map" to see the exact fishing spot on your world map.

How to Catch

The Perch requires some practice with the fishing minigame. A Basic Fishing Rod works, though upgrading to the Fine Fishing Rod will reduce bite wait times. Cast into deeper water, watch for the bite indicator, and be prepared for moderate resistance when reeling. Pull the rod in the opposite direction of the fish's movement to tire it out before attempting to reel.

Uses

• Cooking: Can be cleaned into Fish Fillet at a campfire or butchery station. Fish Fillet is the key ingredient in dishes like Fish Porridge, Battered Fish, Fish Skewers, and Grilled Meat and Fish.

• Selling: Can be sold to vendors. Small fish sell for modest amounts, but cooking them into meals significantly increases their value.

• Knowledge: Fills a Knowledge Codex entry under Freshwater Fish in the Creatures > Aquatic Creatures section.

Tips

• Once discovered, use the Knowledge menu's "Open Map" feature to quickly locate this species again on your world map.

• Selling cooked dishes made from fish is more profitable than selling the raw catch. Cook at the nearest campfire and sell in Hernand for a steady income.
