Before the Lubricant Sprayer recipe appears at your camp Blacksmith, you need to learn it through observation. Travel to the farmland west of the city of Demeniss. Several farmers work the fields there, and some are actively spraying their plots. Follow a farmer and wait until the spraying animation plays, then observe it to unlock the technique. Observing a single spraying farmer in this area unlocks the Water Sprayer, Fertilizer Sprayer, and Lubricant Sprayer recipes at your smithy. The observation can be done before Chapter 8 even while the area is hostile; you just have to avoid the city guards, since the farmers themselves remain non-hostile.
Like the other sprayers, the Lubricant Sprayer is crafted from basic resources that most players accumulate during early exploration:
Iron Ore and Copper from mineral nodes across Hernand or from weapons vendors.
Fine Timber from chopping trees with a basic axe.
Rubber is the usual bottleneck. Three workable sources are gifting Thick Hide to Scholastone scholars until their trust hits 100 (small chance per gift), buying Rubber Tree Seeds from the Ger in Varnia once his trust is maxed, or harvesting rubber trees directly with the Magic Scythe.
The Lubricant Sprayer, like the other farming sprayers, has a limited durability pool. Once it runs out you have to craft another one. Keep a small stockpile of the base materials on hand so you can replace it without a trip back to a resource hub. Application follows the standard sprayer pattern: equip the tool, face the target, and perform the spray action. A brief animation and a visible sheen on the target confirm the effect has landed.
