The Light of the Battlefield is a six-piece Legendary armor set in Crimson Desert, exclusive to Damiane. The set features a striking white-and-gold color scheme with eagle wing motifs and golden trim, giving the wearer a regal, commanding presence on the battlefield. It is one of the most popular armor sets in the game, with many players specifically seeking out all six pieces.
Unlike quest-reward sets like the Valortread Armor Set, the Light of the Battlefield pieces are found exclusively in hidden treasure chests scattered across the Crimson Desert region and the city of Varnia. No quests are required; players simply need to explore these areas and locate the chests. However, some of the chests are cleverly hidden behind waterfalls, inside caves, or in narrow crevices that are easy to miss.
The six pieces of the Light of the Battlefield set are spread across the Crimson Desert region and Varnia. Each piece is found in a standalone treasure chest that can be collected in any order.

The helm is located near Outlaw Canyon at Trivana Sound. On the map, head north of the "C" in "Crimson Desert" to find a large rock pillar structure. The chest is hidden in the gap underneath the north side of this rock. The area is relatively open, but the gap in the pillar can be hard to spot from certain angles. Approach the pillar from the south and circle around to find the opening.
The chest piece is found at Howlsands Camp on the east side of the Crimson Desert region. From the camp, face east and walk into the sandstorm. Visibility is poor in this area, which makes the cave entrance easy to miss. Look for a narrow crevice in the rock wall and squeeze through it to enter a small cave. The treasure chest containing the plate armor is inside.
The boots are inside the Desert Shipwreck in the Trader's Expanse area. On the map, look below the "E" at Trader's Expanse. Approach the shipwreck from the west side and find the entrance to the middle floor. The treasure chest is at the back of this level.
The gloves are found in the south district of Varnia near the canal area. From the main canal, go down toward the waterfall area. Look for a barred door that has been destroyed. Pass through the doorway and follow the short passage to find the treasure chest with the gloves inside.
The cloak is hidden inside Sun's Gate Cave beneath Varnia. Follow the waterfalls in the city downward. Near a bridge, drop down to the lowest level and look for a cave entrance behind the waterfall at the bottom. Use the Stab skill (R1 + Square on PlayStation, RB + X on Xbox) to dash through the cascading water and enter the cave. The treasure chest with the cloak is inside.
Since all pieces are found through exploration and none require quests, you can collect them in any order. However, the following sequence aligns well with natural map progression:
Plate Helm (Trivana Sound): easily accessible during early exploration of the Crimson Desert region.
Plate Armor (Howlsands Camp): located nearby to the east. Navigate the sandstorm carefully.
Plate Boots (Desert Shipwreck): also in the Crimson Desert region, near the Trader's Expanse.
Plate Gloves (Varnia canals): collect when you first arrive in Varnia city.
Cloth Cloak (Sun's Gate Cave): also in Varnia. Find the waterfall and enter the hidden cave.
The Light of the Battlefield set has one of the most visually striking designs in Crimson Desert. Pure white cloth with golden trim forms the base, while golden plate segments cover the arms and chest. Eagle wing motifs adorn the pauldrons, giving the wearer the appearance of a winged champion. The helm is shaped like a laurel wreath woven from golden leaves. The overall effect is regal and commanding, making it a popular choice for players who want Damiane to stand out on the battlefield.
The Crimson Desert region has poor visibility due to sandstorms. Use your minimap to navigate and look for chest icons if they are within your detection range.
The Sun's Gate Cave entrance behind the waterfall in Varnia is easy to miss. Stand at the base of the waterfall and use the Stab skill to dash through the water.
At maximum refinement, all armor in the game reaches the same stat values. The Light of the Battlefield set is primarily a cosmetic choice at endgame, but its Legendary rarity means it starts with higher base stats than lower-tier sets.
The boots are one of the standout pieces due to their Damage Reduction 1 passive, which provides meaningful damage mitigation in combat.
Pair the Cloth Cloak with its Ice Resistance Lv.3 for areas with ice-themed enemies and bosses.
