Packs can be obtained from merchants, found in the open world, or acquired through quests and activities.
The Kuku Transmission 999K Pack is one of the most useful utility crafts in the Kuku Pot system. When used from the inventory, it spawns a traveling Kuku merchant wherever you are currently standing in the world. The merchant allows you to restock ammunition and supplies without returning to town, which is invaluable during long expeditions, boss preparation runs, and deep exploration of hostile regions.
The summoned merchant sells arrows and shots for different ranged weapons, basic options like food and useful combat buffs, and also lets you sell unwanted loot to free up inventory space. It essentially acts as a portable resupply station for squads of one.
Summon Cooldown: Once the Kuku Transmission 999K Pack has been used to call the merchant, it enters a cooldown of approximately 50 minutes before it can be used again. Because of this long cooldown, it is best reserved for moments when you are genuinely low on arrows, food, or buffs rather than used casually in safe areas.
The blueprint for the Kuku Transmission 999K Pack is sold by the Crimson Desert Witch for 999 Silver. The witch's hideout is hidden west of the world's navel, northwest of the Great Gate of Erdavar, near Tash Kelp in the Crimson Desert region. Travel to the area, speak with the witch, and purchase the blueprint from her shop listing to unlock the recipe at Grimnir's Kilnden Workshop.
Once the blueprint is unlocked, the Kuku Transmission 999K Pack is crafted at the Kilnden Workshop using the Kuku Pot system. The recipe requires the materials listed below.
Material | Quantity | Source |
|---|---|---|
1 | Crafted at Kilnden Workshop once the base Kuku Pack blueprint is unlocked by cleansing the Sanctum of Absolution. | |
1 | Dropped by the large Mani mech enemies found in southeastern Delissia, particularly around Mount Benos and Gorthak. | |
1 | Dropped by the Golden Knight of Fortune Mer at Crimson Mountain Fortress, east of Tash Kelp. Defeat this elite encounter to receive the projector as a guaranteed drop. | |
1 | Obtained from the Sanctum of Expiation, located northwest of Deminis. Restore the central device inside the sanctum and spin out the core from its housing to collect it. | |
100 | Dropped by the same Mani mech enemies in Delissia. Dispatch missions that liberate Grey Main locations can also award Cog Wheels in bulk, which makes farming the 100 required wheels faster. |
Because this recipe combines components from several sanctum and dispatch systems, completing the pack is treated as a mid-to-late game milestone. The payoff is strong: a portable merchant that keeps your arrows, food, and buffs fully stocked during long expeditions and hard fights.
The Kuku Transmission 999K Pack allows the player to summon a portable vendor and merchant anywhere in the world. Activating it (both triggers on a controller) spawns a merchant who can both buy and sell items. The summoned vendor operates on a 50-minute cooldown between uses.
There are two ways to learn the recipe for the Kuku Transmission 999K Pack:
Complete the Witch's questline to receive the recipe as a reward.
Purchase the recipe book from the Witch of Everseal for 999 silver. The Witch of Everseal appears as a vendor after Chapter 5. To trigger her appearance, interact with a child NPC at a specific location; this causes the witch to appear as a merchant.
The Kuku Transmission 999K Pack requires five components, each obtained from different activities and locations across Pywel.
Component | How to Obtain |
|---|---|
Kuku Pack | Crafted from a Kuku Part (5 Timber + 5 Iron) combined with a Peddler's Pack (purchased from specific map vendors or stolen) |
Electrical Component | Dropped by large robots in the far eastern section of the Gray Forest area. These enemies are marked with a rock/swirl symbol on the minimap. Use the grapple hook to seal them during combat. |
Hologram Projector | Dropped by the boss Merrick in the Fortune at the Crimson Mountains Fortress. The area does not need to be fully liberated; simply locate and defeat the boss. |
Core of Expiation | Found in the Sanctum of Expiation. To cleanse the sanctum, locate a cube and bring it to the top of the fourth pillar. Place both artifacts, then solve the cog puzzle by using Blinding Flash or Focus Light on the mechanism. |
Cog Wheels (x100) | Dropped by robots in the far eastern Gray Forest area (same enemies that drop the Electrical Component). Farming both materials at once is efficient. |
Once all components are gathered, bring them to a Kuku/Keplan Workshop and speak with the NPC Grimmy to craft the pack.
Packs are a type of tool used for carrying and transporting goods, materials, and trade items across the world.
Different packs are designed for specific professions and activities, such as farming, hunting, herbalism, and trading.

To use the pack in the field, equip it as a Tools item, open the inventory, highlight the pack, and pull the left and right triggers together. This is the same activation input as the master dodge circle. If both are equipped at the same time, the inputs collide and the pack may not spawn the merchant reliably. Unequip the dodge circle first when the 999K pack is the intended tool for the moment.
Once triggered, the traveling Kuku merchant appears wherever the player is standing. In addition to standard restocking, the vendor can be used to clear clutter out of the inventory mid-run, which is the single most common reason players carry the pack. Some crafting components, including a clear suit, are also available directly from the Mysterious Shop.
Crafting the 999K Pack requires a Peddler's Pack as a component. Any roadside merchant backpack works, but the Peddler's Pack is the easiest to farm. Travel to Hernand and wait on the bridge where merchants cross. Draw the sword at a merchant carrying a visible pack. The merchant drops the pack without needing to be hit. Do not strike the merchant, as that counts as a crime. Picking the pack up counts as theft, so wear the thief gloves first to avoid criminal flags.
There are two ways to unlock this blueprint. The first is buying it from the Crimson Desert Witch for 999 silver, which is a huge spend. The second is clearing the Sanctum of Faith in southeast Alysia: liberate the sanctum, restore its device, and you receive the blueprint free of charge as part of the completion rewards.
Unless you are already past the sanctum and have money to burn, the sanctum route is clearly the better deal. Many players accidentally buy it first because the witch's shop is where they learn the pack exists.
