Kidnapped Healer is a main quest in Chapter 2: Golden Greed. Following the burning house rescue in The Flames of Greed, Kliff sets out to find Hubert, the community's healer, who was kidnapped by bandits. The quest takes Kliff to a cliffside camp in the Hernand Highlands where Hubert is being held. After the rescue, Hubert shares information about Kailok the Hornsplitter and Shakatu that deepens the conspiracy behind Chapter 2's events.

Follow the quest marker southwest from Windland Heights into the Hernand Highlands. The path runs through hostile territory, and scattered enemies roam the route. You can ride past most of them on horseback without stopping to fight, though engaging them provides extra XP and loot if you want it. Only the camp itself is a required combat encounter.
The bandit camp is positioned on a cliffside with a handful of enemies guarding the area. Clear them out systematically. These are standard-tier bandits and should not pose a significant threat at this point in the chapter. Use the terrain to your advantage since the cliffside camp has natural choke points that prevent you from being surrounded.
Before speaking with Hubert, explore the camp. Near the Notice Board, look for a Palmar Pill sitting on a stool. These healing items are always worth picking up. Check barrels and crates for additional loot.
After the camp is clear, lock onto Hubert and press X/A to untie him. A dialogue sequence triggers where Hubert provides a full account of the events that transpired. He discusses the Hornsplitter and Shakatu, providing crucial context about the power dynamics within the Goldleaf Merchant Guild. Key points from Hubert's exposition:
Kailok has been using the guild's resources and corrupt officials to terrorize the countryside, enriching himself while the region suffers.
Shakatu is not the villain. He has been trying to rein in the Hornsplitter from within the guild, but lacks the military force to do so directly.
The kidnapping, livestock thefts, and the burning house are all connected to Kailok's operation to consolidate power.

The enemies on the road between Windland Heights and the camp are not quest objectives. You can fight them for XP and loot, or simply gallop past on horseback to save time.
Hubert's dialogue reveals that Shakatu is an ally rather than an adversary. This sets up the alliance that forms in the next two quests.
This is the last quest where you deal with random bandit camps. The final two quests of Chapter 2 focus on confronting Shakatu directly and then the Hornsplitter at the Goldleaf Guildhouse.
Make sure to stock up on healing items before heading into Rebellion or Revolution and the chapter's final boss fight.
