How to Heal Your Horse
March 26, 2026 at 01:11 PM
Initial creation
Your horse can take damage from falls, enemy attacks, and environmental hazards in Crimson Desert. If your horse's health drops too low, it will become incapacitated and you will be forced to dismount. Fortunately, there are several ways to heal your horse and keep it in fighting shape.
The most reliable way to heal your horse is with the Healing Force Palm skill. To use it:
Hold the right trigger (RT/R2) to enter Force Palm stance.
While holding the right trigger, press the left trigger (LT/L2) to switch to healing mode.
Aim at your horse and release to heal it.
This converts your Force Palm from an offensive punch into a healing ability. It works on your horse, summoned companions, and other allies. The amount healed scales with your Spirit stat, and each use consumes a portion of your spirit gauge.
You can feed your horse food items to restore its health. Open your inventory, select a food item, and use it while standing near your horse. Most food items that restore health will also work on your mount. This is useful when you are out of spirit or do not have the Healing Force Palm skill unlocked yet.
Bringing your horse to a stable will fully restore its health. Stables are found in major towns like Hernand. The saddler northwest of Hernand is the earliest stable you can access. Simply interact with the stable master and your horse will be healed to full.
When you rest at your Greymane Camp or use a bed, your horse's health is fully restored along with your own.
Avoid riding off high cliffs. Fall damage applies to your horse as well as to you.
Dismount before entering combat with large groups of enemies. Your horse can take stray hits.
Upgrade your horse's saddle and equipment at the saddler to increase its maximum health.
Higher level horses have more health. Consider taming a better horse from the wild if your current mount is fragile. See Horse Taming for details.
Healing Force Palm is unlocked as part of the Force Palm skill tree. It costs one abyss artifact to unlock.
You can heal your horse while mounted by using the healing palm and aiming downward.
If your horse dies, you can resummon it after a short cooldown by pressing up on the D-pad.
Keep food in your quick-use slots for emergencies when your spirit is depleted.
