Enhanced with detailed puzzle walkthrough from video transcript: added controller inputs, orb alignment section, skybridge activation, controls reference table, and expanded tips
The Spire of Soaring is one of eight Spires that Kliff must activate during the Toward the Nest main quest in Chapter 5. This Spire sits in the northern part of the Demeniss region and involves redirecting power through wall panels using Axiom Force, aligning glowing orbs at the summit, and activating the skybridge that leads to the Crowaller boss arena.

Rather than climbing the outside of the tower or approaching the main entrance, head down the cliffs to the right side and look for a cave entrance at the base. This cave is significantly easier to reach than scaling the tower directly and leads into the tower's basement interior. The cave path feeds into the tower's central shaft where the updraft platforms are located.
Inside the tower, locate the blue wind platform. Jump onto it and activate your glider by double-pressing Square (PlayStation) or the corresponding glide input on your platform. The wind current launches you upward through the tower's vertical shaft. You will keep rising until you hit a platform that blocks further ascent.
On this floor you will see a wall covered in puzzle pieces that form a power circuit. Press L1 + R1 (PlayStation) to reveal the full puzzle pattern on the wall, which highlights the connection points and the path the energy needs to follow. Use L3 to grab individual pieces and move them into position.
Use Axiom Force (hold L3 and rotate the right stick) to turn the wall panels and redirect the power flow. The goal is to connect the energy from one side of the wall to the other by aligning each piece so the circuit is complete. Start with the bottom-left panel and work your way across to the bottom-right panel.
Warning: Do not remove the two blue balls powering the wind turbine below. They are needed for the air currents that carry you through the tower.
Once the power is properly redirected on the first floor, the central platform rises. Step onto the air stream again to reach the next level. Here you will find a large circular mechanism mounted on the wall. This mechanism has three lines radiating outward from its center.
Get on the platform in front of the mechanism and grab onto it with L3. Rotate all three lines so they point downward. When all three are correctly aligned in the downward position, the mechanism activates and the power lines lock into a left-to-bottom-to-right configuration. This opens the path to the elevator platform above.
Warning: Do not extract the battery below the top floor. It powers the wall panel directly above it.
Stand on the elevator platform and wait as it lifts you toward the top of the tower. The ascent is a long ride, taking roughly two minutes, but it offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Demeniss landscape as you rise. Stay on the platform until you reach the summit area above the clouds.
At the top of the tower, you will find three glowing orbs that need to be connected to blue receiver points. These orbs are positioned across floating platforms separated by gaps, so you will need to use the Force Palm triple jump technique to cross: jump and activate Force Palm three times in succession, then glide across the remaining distance.
Approach each orb and latch onto it with L3. You can then physically move and rotate it to line up with the blue target receiver. The orb will glow brighter and lock into place once it is correctly aligned. Repeat this for all three orbs.
Hazard: Watch out for blue and purple flowers growing on the platforms near the orbs. Contact with these flowers drains your health steadily, so avoid standing on them while repositioning the orbs. Keep moving and step around flower clusters whenever possible.
After all three orbs are aligned, locate the activation device near the final platform. Latch onto it with L3 and turn the knob until the indicator shifts to blue. This activates the Crescent Skybridge, which extends outward and creates the path leading directly to the Crowaller boss arena.
Before crossing the skybridge, take note of the fast travel point that becomes available at the top of the Spire. Activating it now saves you from having to repeat the entire climb if you need to return after the boss fight or if you are defeated.
Action | PlayStation | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Reveal puzzle pattern | L1 + R1 | Shows connection points on wall |
Grab/latch onto object | L3 | Puzzle pieces, orbs, and devices |
Rotate panel (Axiom Force) | Hold L3 + rotate right stick | Slow rotation gives better precision |
Activate glider | Double-press Square | Use on wind platforms and for gap crossing |
Force Palm triple jump | Jump + Force Palm x3 | Required for reaching orb platforms |
If you fall during the ascent, you reset to the last floor. The puzzle state is preserved, so you do not need to redo the panel rotations.
The Axiom Force rotation can feel awkward at first. Rotate the right stick slowly to get precise panel alignment.
The cave entrance at the base of the tower is much easier to find and enter than trying to climb the tower exterior. If you are struggling with the approach, look for the cave opening on the right side of the cliffs.
A fast travel point becomes available at the top of the Spire before you cross the skybridge. Always activate it so you can return quickly.
Stock up on food and Palmar Pills before heading across the skybridge. The Crowaller boss fight begins immediately after crossing, and there is no opportunity to resupply between the skybridge and the arena.
The blue and purple flowers near the orb platforms deal continuous damage on contact. If your health is running low, step back and heal before continuing to reposition an orb.
