The Gate to Advancement is a puzzle in Crimson Desert that is a gateway to post-late game content in the Abyss. Solving this three-ring alignment puzzle teleports you to the Skypillar Archipelago in the Eternal Corridor and permanently unlocks a new Nexus fast travel point.
The Gate to Advancement is located near Mount Benus in Delesyia. The puzzle is housed inside a mechanical structure that stands apart from the surrounding environment. Look for a building with visible mechanical components near its entrance. The area is relatively isolated and quiet, making it easy to focus on solving the puzzle without enemy interference.
To reach it, travel to the Mount Benus area in Delesyia and look for the structure near the base of the mountain. The Gate to Advancement is only accessible after completing the relevant main quests in the Delesyia region.

The core of this puzzle is a three-layered rotating disk system. Each of the three concentric rings has engraved patterns on its surface. Your objective is to rotate all three rings so that the patterns form continuous straight lines extending across the disk in four directions. The key to solving it is understanding that you must create unified patterns across all three layers simultaneously, not solve each ring individually.
Enter the structure at the Gate to Advancement and approach the central machinery. Interact with the disk mechanism to begin the puzzle. You will see three concentric rings, each with engraved line patterns that need to be aligned.
Start with the outer ring. Rotate it slowly and observe the line segments engraved on its surface. Your goal is to identify positions where the straight-line pattern segments are clearly visible and could connect with the middle ring. This outer ring is your visual baseline for the rest of the alignment, so getting it right first simplifies the remaining steps.
Next, adjust the middle ring so that its engraved pattern continues the lines created by the outer ring. The pattern should extend in the same direction, forming an unbroken line from the outer ring through the middle ring. Rotate it incrementally and check the alignment from multiple angles.
Finally, rotate the inner ring to complete the full alignment across all three layers. When all three rings are correctly positioned, the engraved lines will form continuous straight lines extending in all four directions across the entire disk surface.
Before confirming, verify the alignment from multiple angles. Move your camera around the disk to ensure the lines are truly continuous across all three rings in all four directions. A partially correct alignment will not trigger the completion sequence.
Once the alignment is correct, a cutscene automatically plays confirming the successful solution. You are then teleported to the Skypillar Archipelago in the Eternal Corridor of the Abyss.
Upon arriving at the Skypillar Archipelago, you will notice a circular wall-mounted structure called the Nexus. This is a critical step that you should not skip. Use the Force Palm ability to strike the center of the Nexus structure. This permanently unlocks a fast travel point within the Abyss, significantly improving your ability to navigate the Abyss in later stages of the game.

Start from the outside and work inward. Aligning the outer ring first gives you a stable reference point. Trying to align the inner ring first often leads to confusion when the outer rings shift your perspective.
Check from multiple angles. Lines that appear aligned from one viewpoint may not be continuous from another. Orbit the camera around the disk before committing to a position.
Listen for audio cues. The mechanism produces subtle sound feedback as rings approach correct positions. Pay attention to changes in the ambient sound when rotating each ring.
Do not rush. This puzzle rewards patience. Each ring has a correct position, and incremental adjustments are more effective than fast spinning.
Activate the Nexus immediately. After teleporting to the Skypillar Archipelago, use Force Palm on the Nexus right away. If you leave the area without activating it, you will need to return and solve the puzzle again to re-access the Archipelago.
This puzzle is a gateway, not an endpoint. The real value of completing the Gate to Advancement lies in the mobility it provides. The Skypillar Archipelago Nexus becomes a central fast travel hub for later Abyss content.
