Gamma Barrel Cannon is a cannon in Crimson Desert. It is classified as a Rare+-grade ranged weapon with a base Attack of 14. A cannon with a simple appearance but tremendous firepower. Forged by the Ironflame Orcs under their own name, its performance is beyond doubt. Gorthak seems intent on pushing it as a major export, having it loaded onto a sky galleon.

As a cannon, this weapon delivers the highest per-shot damage among ranged weapons in Crimson Desert. Cannons are heavy and slow to reload but compensate with devastating explosive firepower.

Stat Line at Max Refinement

At max refinement the Gamma Barrel Cannon rolls 39 attack and three innate critical rate. It is the mid-tradeoff option in the spear-move-set weapon pool. The highest attack spear-move-set weapons, the Bismouth Cannon and the Finest Rhinard Cannon, both roll 43 attack with zero innate crit. On the crit side, the four-crit halberds (including Vow of the Dead King) sit four attack below the 43-attack cannons but gain four innate crit. The Gamma Barrel Cannon lands exactly in the middle and is the best pure cannon for a crit-focused Turning Slash Nuke Build. Each point of crit is worth roughly two percent extra chance to deal double damage, so three innate crit from this cannon is effectively more damage than the four attack you give up against the 43-attack cannons.

Cannon Over Halberd: Shooting Utility

The main reason to pick the Gamma Barrel Cannon over a four-crit halberd is the cannon-exclusive ranged shot. You keep every Turning Slash benefit of the spear move set and gain a reliable way to hit airborne targets or enemies at a distance, which halberds cannot do.
