Delesyia

Rewrite with details from Will Powers interview (Save State, Feb 2026)
Delesyia is one of the five regions of Pywel, and it is the technology center of the continent. In his Save State interview, producer Will Powers described it this way: "They've really adopted technology. So they have mechs, they have flying robots. This is not your typical fantasy. This is almost leaning a little bit more towards steampunk when you're in this region."
That makes Delesyia distinct from every other region in the game. Hernand has medieval castles. Demeniss has military forts. The Crimson Desert is arid outlaw territory. Delesyia is the one that breaks the fantasy mold entirely.
The mechs and flying robots are not just set dressing. Mechs appear as late-game mounts elsewhere in the game, and Delesyia is presumably where they originate. The region's embrace of technology also means its architecture and infrastructure look different from the rest of Pywel.
No specific faction names for Delesyia's ruling powers have been confirmed yet. But given that each region in Pywel operates as its own country with its own geopolitics (per Will Powers), Delesyia likely has its own governing body that invested heavily in mechanical innovation.
Will Powers described the regions in a specific order during the interview: Pywel (starting area), Hernand (medieval castles, peaceful), Demeniss (political and military center), Delesyia (technology), and the Crimson Desert (arid, outlaws). He said players "progressively move through" these regions with the story. That puts Delesyia fourth in the narrative sequence, which lines up with the mechs and robots being mid-to-late-game content.
Like all of Pywel, Delesyia is part of the seamless open world with no loading screens between regions. You can walk into Delesyia at any time, but if your faction reputation with the local powers is at a war state, guards will attack you on sight. Progressing the story or building faction relationships will open the region up.
See Exploration & Traversal for general traversal mechanics and Regions of Pywel for an overview of all five regions.
