The Camel is a temporary ground mount found in the desert regions of Crimson Desert. Camels are the primary mode of transportation used by NPCs traveling across the arid landscapes of the Crimson Desert region. Players can obtain a camel by dismounting its NPC rider and claiming the animal.
As a transportation-focused mount, the Camel lacks combat abilities and has modest stats. It is best used for traversing the desert when no horse is available nearby. Several camel variants exist in the game, but the standard Camel is the most commonly encountered version ridden by desert NPCs.

The standard Camel has no listed Attack or Defense stats, confirming its role as a pure transportation mount rather than a combat-capable one. Its 300 HP provides a modest health pool.
Camels are obtained by dismounting NPC riders in the desert region:
Travel to the Crimson Desert region, the vast arid biome in the southern portion of the map.
Locate NPCs riding saddled camels along desert trade routes and roads.
Engage the NPC rider in combat and defeat them to separate them from the camel.
Once the rider is removed, approach the camel and press the ride button to mount it.
Only saddled camels being ridden by NPCs can be mounted. Wild unsaddled camels roaming the desert cannot be used as mounts.

Several camel variants exist in the game, each with slightly different characteristics: the Camel Calf (a younger, smaller camel), the Female Camel, the Sandwalk Camel (a sturdier variant with higher stats), and the Two-Humped Camel. The standard Camel is the most commonly encountered variant on trade routes.
Camels are primarily useful for traversing the desert when your horse is not nearby. They are not suited for combat.
Only saddled camels with NPC riders can be mounted. Do not waste time chasing wild unsaddled camels.
The Sandwalk Camel is a stronger variant with 400 HP and actual Attack/Defense stats. Look for it if you want a more durable ride.
Camels provide a thematic way to explore the desert, but horses remain faster for long-distance travel.
