Overview

Brimstone is a rare alchemy material in Crimson Desert, highly valued for its use in gunpowder production and alchemical recipes. Its high concentration of sulfurous fumes makes both mining and transport dangerous. Brimstone is found exclusively at Brimstone Springs in the Hernand region, and even locating the deposit is a challenge in itself.

Where to Find

Brimstone is gathered from Brimstone Springs, a specific location in the Hernand region. The springs are also visited during the main quest Pursuit Beyond the Veil, where you must destroy a totem at the site. The area's sulfurous environment makes it a hazardous but rewarding gathering location.

Uses

Brimstone is a key ingredient in several valuable alchemy recipes:

• Gold Bar crafting: Combine 3 Brimstone, 3 Mercury, and 10 Silver Ore at any Witch NPC to produce 1 Gold Bar. This is one of the most efficient ways to obtain Gold Bars.

• Gunpowder production: Brimstone is used in crafting Gunpowder, an explosive material needed for ammunition and certain research projects at institutes.

• Advanced alchemy: Various high-tier elixirs and alchemical concoctions require Brimstone as an ingredient.

Tips

• Brimstone Springs is in the Hernand region. If you are completing the Pursuit Beyond the Veil quest, gather Brimstone while you are at the springs.

• Stockpile Brimstone alongside Mercury and Silver Ore if you plan to craft Gold Bars through the Witch alchemy recipe.

• The Gold Bar alchemy recipe (3 Brimstone + 3 Mercury + 10 Silver Ore) is far more efficient than smelting 100 Gold Ore at a blacksmith.

• Brimstone fumes are hazardous. Be prepared with health recovery items when gathering at Brimstone Springs.
