Overview

Aegis I is a standard passive Abyss Core in Crimson Desert. This reduction applies to all incoming physical damage before armor calculations, giving a small but consistent layer of protection.

Because it slots into both armor and shields, Aegis I is a flexible pick for any character looking to shore up survivability during the early to mid portions of the game. It pairs well with other defensive cores like Fortification I or Wall of Steel I for stacking damage mitigation.

Purchased from Witch merchants found at camps and major settlements throughout the world. Can also drop from certain enemies in Abyss-corrupted areas.

Standard Abyss Cores like Aegis I can be acquired from Witches who serve as merchants at various camps and settlements across the world. Check with any Witch merchant when you visit a new area, as their inventory may include this core.

Usage and Strategy

Socket Aegis I into any compatible equipment piece (Armor, Shields) to gain its Damage Reduction 1.0 bonus. The effect is always active as long as the core remains socketed and the equipment is worn.

Tips

• Stacking multiple Aegis I cores across different gear slots can provide noticeable durability against groups of weaker enemies.

• Consider pairing with Vitality I on armor pieces for a balanced defensive loadout during early exploration.
