Overview

A Promise Without Ember is a faction quest under Hernand's Politics in the Duchy of Hernand, part of the Blindfolded Threat quest chain. Bleed Bandits have occupied Embernest Beacon, a strategic watchtower east of Goldenleaf Trading Post. Kliff must clear the bandits from the beacon to restore Hernand's surveillance network.

The quest automatically appears in your Hernand Politics faction quest list when you discover the occupied beacon while exploring.

Walkthrough

Embernest Beacon is located east of the Goldenleaf Trading Post. When you approach the area and discover the beacon is occupied by Bleed Bandits, the quest triggers automatically and is added to your faction quest list.

The liberation works like other location-clearing objectives: a progress bar tracks how many enemies you need to defeat. Engage the Bleed Bandits stationed around and inside the beacon tower. They fight in groups, so isolating them is helpful.

Strategy Tip: Consider switching to Damiane for this encounter. Her swiftness and AoE skills make liberating beacon locations quick and efficient, especially when dealing with multiple enemies in a confined space.

Once all enemies are defeated and the progress bar is depleted, the beacon is liberated and the quest completes.

Tips

• Beacon liberation quests are straightforward combat encounters. They provide solid Contribution EXP for relatively minimal effort.

• Liberating beacons restores them to Hernand's surveillance network. This can reveal more map information and improve fast travel options in the area.

• This quest pairs well with Night Sky in Darkness, another beacon liberation quest in the Blindfolded Threat chain. Complete both for a total of +200 Contribution EXP.

• Damiane's AoE attacks are ideal for clearing groups of Bleed Bandits at beacon sites.
