Overview

A Gentle Touch is the 44th main quest in Crimson Desert. After successfully recruiting Luke at the Coalvale Workshop, Kliff returns to Howling Hill. At camp, a package has arrived from Shakatu, delivered through a Dragon Head Totem at the camp shrine. The package contains a letter explaining how to expand the camp and resources to get started.

Walkthrough

Return to Howling Hill

Travel back to the Greymane Camp from the Coalvale Workshop. The quest marker leads you directly to the camp.

Examine the Dragon Head Totem at the Shrine

Once at camp, head to the shrine structure. To the left of the shrine, a Dragon Head Totem statue is positioned. Examine it (Square/X) to discover that Shakatu has sent supplies and a letter.

Read Shakatu's Letter

Open your inventory and find the purple-colored item labeled "Shakatu's Letter." Examine it (L1 + LB or the equivalent inspect button) to read the full contents. The letter explains the camp expansion system: how to invest resources, assign workers, and unlock new facilities at Howling Hill. This tutorial letter prepares you for the next quest.

Notes

• This quest is a tutorial for the camp expansion mechanic. The letter from Shakatu explains the system in detail.

• The 200 Camp Oats and 200 Camp Coins provide starting resources for the expansion.

• The Dragon Head Totem at the shrine serves as a communication channel with Shakatu throughout the game.

• No combat or puzzle-solving is involved. This is a simple pickup-and-read quest.
