The free demo has been playable on Steam since May 28, 2026, and was featured in Steam Next Fest. It lets players start a haven from a shipwreck and try the core building, logistics, and naval-combat loop ahead of the July 31, 2026 launch. Demo user reviews have been Very Positive. The full game adds the complete campaign, additional starting islands, and many more buildings and ships. For an onboarding walkthrough, see the Getting Started guide.
The demo has drawn a large and consistently positive response. As of July 22, 2026 it holds a Very Positive standing across 748 user reviews, with the most recent 218 also rated Very Positive. It runs in eleven languages rather than the full game's twelve; Brazilian Portuguese is the one the demo does not currently ship. The publisher has also said the demo covers the opening acts of the game's four major story questlines, which makes it a slice of the campaign rather than a separate scenario.
