Revision 1

Control Resonant ships in four announced editions: a Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition sold digitally, and a Physical Edition and a SteelBook Edition sold on disc. Pre-orders opened in June 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store, and cover both digital and physical formats. This page breaks down what each tier contains, what the pre-order bonuses are, when they actually unlock, and how the PlayStation early access works. The Four Editions

The published contents for the two disc tiers list the main game and, for the SteelBook, its physical extras. No digital bonus items are attached to either.

Digital Pricing

Those are the digital storefront prices as checked on September 12, 2026. Pricing for the disc tiers is set at retail and varies by region; Remedy points shoppers at their own platform store for full edition pricing and regional availability rather than publishing a single global figure for physical copies.

Pre-Order Bonuses

Two items attach to every digital pre-order, a third comes with PlayStation digital pre-orders only, and the Digital Deluxe tier layers three more on top. Most of them are not available the moment you start the game.

The end of Act 1 condition is not an inference from patch notes or datamining. It is stated on the storefront listings themselves, which name the AWE Mission Outfit, the Untapped Artifact (Wallet) and the Starter Resource Bundle on the Digital Deluxe tier, and the Hiss Corruption Outfit and the Pickpocket's Tool Artifact on the Standard tier, as unlocking at that point rather than at the start of the game. The Occult Outfit is the one pre-order item with no published unlock condition attached, which is a gap rather than a confirmation that it is available immediately.

The Untapped Artifact is described as a wallet, and Artifacts are the equippable trinket layer covered on Artifacts. The outfits are cosmetic: Dylan Faden can swap outfit and hairstyle at any point in the campaign without affecting combat stats.

PlayStation Early Access

The PlayStation 5 Digital Deluxe Edition is the only edition anywhere that carries early access, and the studio has dated it exactly. Early access begins at 14:00 UTC on September 22, 2026 and runs into the global unlock at 14:00 UTC on September 24. That is a 48-hour head start over every other platform and every other tier.

Two details are worth being precise about, because they are easy to blur together. The head start is tied to a digital pre-order of the Digital Deluxe tier on PlayStation, not to a PlayStation pre-order in general: the PlayStation Standard Edition listing does not include it. And it is a separate benefit from the Occult Outfit, which does come with any PlayStation digital pre-order on either tier.

As of September 12, 2026 Remedy has not published a pre-load window or a download size for any platform, so September 22 at 14:00 UTC is the only confirmed pre-launch access point on record. The PlayStation storefront notes that automatic download of a pre-ordered title requires Automatic Login and Auto Sign-In to be enabled on the console.

Physical Editions

Disc copies are on their own schedule. The Physical Edition and the SteelBook Edition both reach retail on October 15, 2026, three weeks after the digital launch, and both are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no physical release on PC or Mac. The October date was given publicly on August 25, 2026, in the same announcement that premiered the Altered State trailer and revealed a five-piece apparel capsule collection styled after the Federal Bureau of Control's institutional wardrobe.

Regional Edition Content

One outfit is region-specific. At ChinaJoy 2026 the studio revealed the Robe of the Expert from the Ministry of Immaterial Objectives, a China-exclusive cosmetic whose description presents the Ministry as an official Chinese agency that finds and contains supernatural phenomena to keep public order, an in-fiction counterpart to the Federal Bureau of Control. The same showing carried a trailer with the game's first Chinese dub. As of September 12, 2026 the outfit has not been announced for any other region.

Where to Pre-Order

Pre-orders are open on the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store. On Steam the game carries App ID 3669870, with the Standard and Digital Deluxe tiers sold as separate packages. Both PC storefronts sell the same two digital tiers, and neither carries the PlayStation early access or the Occult Outfit. On the Xbox side the purchase is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so a single buy covers Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and supported Xbox handhelds, with saves, achievements and add-ons carrying across devices.

Unconfirmed Details

Open as of September 12, 2026, twelve days before the digital launch:

• A pre-load window and a download size. Neither has been published for any platform, on any storefront.

• The unlock condition for the Occult Outfit. Every other pre-order item carries an explicit end of Act 1 disclaimer; this one does not.

• Retail pricing for the Physical Edition and the SteelBook Edition. The studio defers to individual storefronts rather than publishing a global figure.

• Any post-launch paid content. Remedy describes Resonant as a complete experience at launch and has said it will share future plans at a later date.

• Whether the China-exclusive outfit will be offered in other regions.

• Whether the SteelBook Edition will be stocked outside general retail, and in which territories.
