Platforms
Blight: Survival will launch on three platform families. Console support was officially confirmed at the Future Games Show: Spring show 2026 on March 12, 2026.
Platform | Status | Details |
|---|---|---|
PC (Steam) | Confirmed | Steam App ID 1774880. On Steam since 2022. Primary development platform |
Xbox Series X|S | Confirmed | Announced at Future Games Show: Spring show 2026 |
PlayStation 5 | Confirmed | Announced at Future Games Show: Spring show 2026 |
Mac / Linux | Not planned | No announcements or developer statements suggesting support |
Nintendo Switch | Not planned | The game's Unreal Engine 5 requirements make Switch support unlikely |
Before the March 2026 confirmation, the developers had described console support as something they wanted but could not promise, since it required establishing partnerships with Xbox and PlayStation. The Future Games Show appearance upgraded both to confirmed platforms.
Controller Support

Full controller support is confirmed. The game is designed to be played with either keyboard and mouse or a gamepad. Both Xbox controllers and PlayStation DualSense controllers are supported. The directional combat system, which uses 5-directional melee attacks, has been developed with controller input in mind alongside traditional mouse and keyboard controls.
Cross-Platform Play
Cross-play between PC and consoles is confirmed. Asked whether the game would come to PC or console, the developers answered: "Both, PC and console, with crossplay!" That statement firmed up earlier comments that they would "definitely want cross-play" if the game launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, both of which were confirmed in March 2026. Timing is the open question: the game has no release date, and day-one cross-play details have not been announced.
The store listing includes a "Cross-Platform Multiplayer" feature tag, consistent with the developers' confirmation.
System Requirements
The store listing lists minimum specifications. The developers have stated these are placeholders: "Steam system requirements are definitely subject to change." For a detailed breakdown and analysis, see the System Requirements article.
Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
OS | Windows 7 SP1+ (64-bit) | Not yet specified |
Processor | Intel Core i5-3470 / AMD FX 4350 | Not yet specified |
Memory | 4 GB RAM | Not yet specified |
Graphics | GTX 670 / Radeon HD 7870 (2 GB VRAM) | Not yet specified |
DirectX | Version 11 | Not yet specified |
Storage | 20 GB | Not yet specified |
Network | Broadband internet connection | Broadband internet connection |
These minimum specs are surprisingly modest for an Unreal Engine 5 title and likely reflect early placeholder values. An SSD is not listed as required but is recommended for UE5 games to reduce load times and improve texture streaming.
Console Performance
No performance targets (resolution, frame rate) have been announced for Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5. Since the game is still in active development and the console announcement is recent, specific console optimization details will likely come closer to launch.
Engine and Technology
Blight: Survival runs on Unreal Engine 5. Key technologies used include Quixel Megascans for photorealistic environmental textures, MetaHumans for character creation and customization, and World Partition for managing the large-scale environments of No Man's Land. Co-founder Mads Christensen also highlighted One File Per Actor (OFPA) for collaborative large-map development. For a detailed look at the visual approach, see Art and Visuals.
Network and Multiplayer
The game supports 1 to 4 players in co-op PvE. A broadband internet connection is required for online play. An offline mode is confirmed for solo players who want to play without an internet connection. The PvE-only design means there is no player-versus-player combat; all multiplayer is cooperative.
Content Rating
Steam lists Blight: Survival with a mature content warning for frequent violence, gore, and general mature themes. The game features dismemberment, visceral combat finishers, and medieval execution devices. An official ESRB or PEGI rating has not been assigned yet.
Store Feature Set
The store listing carries a set of confirmed feature tags that describe how the game will be played and what it supports on PC. These are the platform-level capabilities the developers have committed to on the listing itself, separate from the design details covered elsewhere on this wiki.
Feature | What It Means |
|---|---|
Single-player | The game is fully playable solo, without a party and without other players in the session. |
Online Co-op | Cooperative play over the internet for a party of up to four, which is the headline multiplayer mode. |
Cross-Platform Multiplayer | Listed as a supported feature. Cross-play between PC and the console versions is confirmed by the developers; launch-timing details have not been stated. |
Steam Achievements | The game will ship with an achievement set. None have been published yet, so the list and unlock conditions remain unknown. |
Stats | Server-tracked statistics, the system that normally backs achievement progress and per-account counters. |
Family Sharing | The game can be shared with other accounts in a Steam family group under the usual sharing rules. |
Full Controller Support | The game is fully playable on a gamepad, with both Xbox controllers and the DualSense explicitly listed. |
