Added Title Update 1.0.7 pistol-hide and perk-effect appearance toggles
11The interface in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced was rebuilt to be cleaner, contextual, and fully adjustable. Elements such as weapon selection, combat indicators, and health information appear only when they are relevant, and every one of them can be switched off. The stated goal is to let players decide how much information is on screen and when, from full guidance while learning the rebuilt systems down to a nearly bare screen.2233HUD Presets4455Four presets cover the common cases without touching individual options. Any preset can be used as a starting point and adjusted from there.6677PresetWhat It ShowsDefaultMost HUD elements enabled for maximum clarity, including guidance, button prompts, and combat feedbackSimpleA pared-down screen that drops some reminders and highlights while keeping enough feedback for combat and navigationMinimalOnly essentials: Edward's health, interaction prompts, and cannon aiming arcs while aboard the JackdawDisabledNearly every HUD element removed, leaving no prompts or indicators at all88Per-Element Toggles991010Beyond the presets, each element can be enabled or disabled on its own, which is where blood effects, visual effects, and in-game notifications are balanced against immersion. The three gameplay pillars each have their own useful middle ground.11111212SystemTypical Minimalist SetupCombatKeep defence and parry indicators while learning the timing, then drop health bars and attack indicators once the animations read clearlyStealthKeep the visibility meter and awareness indicators, turn off outlines and perception indicators for a more instinctive approachNavalKeep cannon aiming arcs for readability during a broadside, disable the rest for a clean view of the sea13+Appearance Toggles14+15+The outfit menu also lets players hide certain visible gear. Title Update 1.0.6 added a Hide Gear toggle for the blowpipe on Edward's back, and Title Update 1.0.7, released September 1, 2026, extended it to hide his pistols as well. The same update added a separate toggle to turn off the glowing visual effects that perks and trinkets apply to Edward, for players who want the look without the shine.16+1317Combat Readability14181519On default settings, enemy health and defence bars sit above each enemy. Defence represents how much pressure an enemy can absorb before opening up: well-timed parries, heavy attacks, and sustained offence deplete it, and a broken defence is what creates a takedown opportunity. Because different archetypes give way to different pressure, the bars are how the combat system teaches which approach works on which enemy. A brute may shrug off sword pressure but fold to a single pistol shot.16201721For players who would rather not run those bars, the game keeps a diegetic tell: an enemy's hat or headpiece falls off the moment their defence breaks. Turning the bars off shifts attention onto animation, spacing, and timing without hiding the information entirely.18221923None of this changes what kind of game it is. There are no character levels, no gear scores, and no progression gates; the bars are a readability aid layered over an action-adventure game, not a stat system.20242125Difficulty Settings22262327Difficulty is split across four independent pillars, each set on its own and changeable at any time rather than locked in at the start.24282529SettingEffectForgivingAimed at story-focused players, or anyone who has not yet mastered a particular activityIntendedThe default, tuned to sit close to the experience of the original game and suited to players comfortable with action-adventure gamesHardFor players who want to be tested against everything the game can throw at them2630The four pillars are combat, naval combat, stealth, and activities, so a player can take a hard fight on the ground while keeping sailing forgiving, or the reverse.27312832Photo Mode29333034Resynced includes a photo mode for capturing moments from the voyage. It pairs naturally with the minimal and disabled HUD presets, which strip the screen back to the Caribbean itself for screenshots and cinematic capture.31353236Accessibility33373438The customization layer overlaps with a broad accessibility feature set covering text size, subtitles and captions, narrated menus, keyboard-only and mouse-only input, full remapping, camera comfort options, colour alternatives, and per-channel volume. Nothing in the game depends on timed input, and saving is available at any point. The full list is on the system requirements and performance page.
