Squashel
September 17, 2026 at 12:22 AM
Initial version (2026-09-17)
Squashel is No. 048 in the Aniimo index, a Fire creature that fights in the BREAK role. It has twin fist-like tails that give its power a super-boost, and pinecones thrown with that much force land like cannonballs.
Squashel arrived with Squarrel when the official index was rebuilt for the September 16, 2026 launch build, so neither has a closed beta record. Wild Aniimo are taken with Aniipods, and once caught this one can be raised, sent into battle, kept at The Homeland, or traded to another player. It closes a two-entry line and only its Basic Form has been published.

The index publishes six base values for every Aniimo plus an Attributes total that adds them together. ATK drives damage, BREAK is what wears down an enemy's guard, P.DEF and M.DEF cover the two damage types, and REGEN governs how quickly resources come back. These are base figures and balance changes can move them. Growing out of Squarrel adds 93 points to the Attributes total, and most of that lands in HP rather than in offence.

Squashel is the grown form of Squarrel and the end of that line. The index names the growth stages Lumin, Gamma and Nova, and publishes no trigger for the change: as of September 17, 2026 every condition field in the index is empty. The full set of lines is on Evolution Lines.

Only the Basic Form has been published for Squashel. No environment, weather or Prismana Form variant appears for it in the index as of September 17, 2026.
Squashel is listed in the same single habitat as Squarrel. Which creatures actually appear also depends on weather, time of day, and local phenomena, so a listed habitat is where to look rather than a guarantee.

Every Aniimo carries a passive Trait that is always active while it fights alongside a Pathfinder. Squashel keeps the Trait it had as Squarrel, unchanged in both name and numbers.
Trait | Effect |
|---|---|
Raging Fire | After using a skill, the next basic attack used within 10s will directly release the final hit of the basic attack, and its Might is increased from 4 to 25. |
The index grades three traversal capabilities, Climb, Fly and Swim, from level 1 to level 3. A Pathfinder inherits them by Twining with the creature, and Squashel climbs one grade better than Squarrel does. No Mobility ability is published for it: that field is empty on its entry as of September 17, 2026.
Capability | Grade |

Climb | Level 2 |
The index lists five combat skills and two innate skills for Squashel. Two of the five combat entries were still untranslated on the English index when it was checked on September 17, 2026 and are left out below. Power is the skill's published damage figure and Cost is what it draws from the resource bar.
Skill | Type | Power | Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Pinecone Bomb | Combat | 38 | 15 | Throws a flaming pinecone that bursts on impact, scattering an additional 3 pinecone fragments in all directions. Targets hit are inflicted with the [Pinecone] Mark. |
Heavy Tail Strike | Combat | 40 | 20 | Throws a punch forward. If the target hit has a [Pinecone] Mark, consumes the Mark to deal 50% more damage, launch the target, and stun it for 2.5s. |
Blazing Fist Barrage | Combat | 85 | 30 | Throws a two-hit punch forward. If the target hit carries the Pinecone mark, consumes the mark and empowers the next basic attack into Punch Rush, which throws punches forward continuously for damage equal to 60 Might. |
ATK | Innate | 6 | 0 | Wields the power of fire to attack targets at close range. |
Blazing Rush | Innate | 209 | 0 | Sparks fire along its tail, whipping up cascading flames from the ground to deal heavy damage to the target. |
The index also publishes a Resonance Training table on this entry. As of September 17, 2026 it lists the same two unlocks on every creature in the index, at character level 55 and level 65, each costing Omnisource Crystal.
