Pathfinder promotions combine a character-level requirement, Elite Training progress, a field assessment, and Dr. Lewis's theory test. Complete the active course objectives before returning to Lewis; reaching the level requirement alone does not grant the new title.

Student I opens the talent and Elite Training introductions after Alpha Turbo. The later assessments interrupt the main story, so keep checking the quest log when a new story objective is locked.
Student II: Dewdrop Crystal's Resonance
After The Unbegun Ceremony, reach level 25 and finish Chapter 1's required training objectives. Call Lewis, then meet Wally in the Sea of Flowers.
Inspect the clues, discuss them with Wally, and call Lewis to identify the Dewdrop Crystal.
Duel Wally and speak to him again after the guardian remembers an ability. His party uses Grass, Water, and Wind; prepare suitable counters for the individual opponents.
Return to the Outpost for Lewis's assessment. Choose All of the Above in this Student II test, then complete the Resonance Star-Up tutorial.
The promotion also introduces two Active skills and one Passive talent. These are unlocks, separate from spending Report Cards on your chosen talents.
Student III: Legacy's Protection
At level 35 with Chapter 2's required course progress, call Lewis and meet Jilly's group at the Beast Fang ruins.
Inspect the chest clues before duelling Jilly. Her party covers Fire, Earth, Grass, and Wind; bring a team that can change targets and exploit each matchup.
Speak after the duel for the guardian's remembered skill, then return to Lewis for the test.
Finish the Held Items tutorial after promotion.

Wayfarer I: Stardust's Blessing
Reach level 40 and finish Chapter 3's required course objectives. Call Lewis and follow the Berylline quest marker.
Meet Loulla at night, inspect the clues, and duel her Dark-element party. Wind or Light attacks are useful matchup options.
Speak to Loulla after the duel, return for Lewis's theory test, and complete the final promotion conversation.

Wayfarer II: Core's Nurture
Reach level 45 and complete Chapter 4's required course objectives. Call Lewis and travel to Aster's tent in Rosetower Woods.
Inspect the clues beside the sleeping Aster and Melloblum until Aster wakes. Let him prepare, then duel his three Grass Aniimo.
Speak to Aster again, return for the theory test, and finish Lewis's conversation.

Wayfarer III: The Secret on the Wind
At level 50, follow the active promotion objective to Wendell at Zephyrus Landbridge. Complete the training requirements listed by the quest before starting its assessment.
Duel Wendell's level 45 Wind and Grass party. Speak again to continue into the transformed Mysterious Figure's level 50 encounter.
After the figure returns to Wendell, finish the conversation and go back to Lewis for the theory test.

Assessment rewards
Each of these five promotion quests awards 20 Aniipod Mega, 50 Sparkling Crystals, 50,000 Credits, and 400 Safaris. The two assessments below also award additional materials.
