Weilan Lake is one of three Chongxiao locations given an official page when the ANANTA site was rebuilt on August 25, 2026 for the Gamescom 2026 launch-date announcement. It is the scenic entry in the set: a lake ringed by green hills, with the Bachong Pagoda standing over it.
The Setting
Official description places the lake between verdant hills, with the image of the pagoda reflected on the water drawing large numbers of visitors. The text is explicit that scenery is not the main draw. What captivates travellers is an ancient legend attached to the lake itself, and the description closes on the idea that once a story has been told enough times it becomes something of its own.
That last line is the closest the location text comes to stating a mechanic. It suggests that belief and repetition have weight in the setting, which sits alongside the way Chaos and Supernatural Anomalies have been described in Nova City: something ordinary becoming something else under pressure.
Bachong Pagoda
Detail | Statement |
|---|---|
What it is | A renowned Chongxiao landmark resting upon Weilan Lake |
Who visits | Tourists, and numerous martial arts trainees |
Why trainees come | A legendary Lingjing is supposedly hidden inside the pagoda |
Entry requirement | Only those who have joined a sect may be granted entry |
The pagoda is the first location in either city confirmed to gate access behind formal membership. Sect standing, rather than story progress or equipment, is what the description names as the requirement. That makes martial arts organisations a structural part of Chongxiao rather than set dressing, and it is the clearest in-world anchor yet for the martial-arts framing the game uses for its Combat System.
Named Entities
One further name appears in the Weilan Lake material: the Broadcast Goose. No description has been published for it, so the wiki records the name and nothing more.

What a Lingjing actually is, beyond being something valuable enough to draw trainees.
Which sects exist, how a player joins one, and whether sect membership is a progression system.
