Created Waysprout article describing rest mechanic and effects
Waysprouts are the in-world rest stops of Alabaster Dawn. Approaching one and taking a short rest restores Juno's health, refills her Healing Bulbs, respawns nearby healing plants, and respawns some enemies in the area. Waysprouts function much like the bonfires in classic action RPGs: a quick checkpoint that resets the local map state at the cost of bringing some enemies back.
Restores HP: Juno returns to full health.
Refills Healing Bulb charges: the bulb count returns to its current maximum (defined by the most recently cooked recipe and palate level).
Respawns healing plants: foraged or struck healing plants return so they can be used again.
Respawns some enemies: certain Nuemera return to their starting positions. Bosses and scripted encounters do not respawn from a Waysprout rest.
Waysprouts are placed at fixed points along the world map. The launch build's first and most-used Waysprout is at Old Kamu Village in Koro Valley. Additional Waysprouts open as Juno's progression advances; cooking pots in settlements double as rest spots in places where a Waysprout is not present.
Waysprouts were called "Waypoints" in the early alpha demo. The current Waysprout name comes from the official 0.0.5 demo and onward.
