The Spear is a melee Divine Weapon added in version 0.2.0 on October 2, 2026. It is Juno's first melee weapon with the Pierce attack type, joining the five weapons obtainable before this update.

Release and development

The May roadmap announced the weapon for the Scala Moor gameplay milestone. July development footage showed work on Spear and Kama combos. The Spear shipped with the Scala Moor and Trial of Cryo previews, alongside the Cryo Aspect. These previews add gameplay without extending the story.

Loadout switching

Pressing the Aspect button for the current element again changes the loadout. Right-stick Aspect switching does not use this behavior, and a gamepad option can disable right-stick Aspect switching.

Practice

The Dojo is available from any Waysprout in the same update. Its infinite health and regenerating Divine Charge provide a place to practice weapon combos against essence-unlocked enemies.
