Aranea Antrum is an optional boss in Alabaster Dawn. It is a large, armored spider-like Nuemera with four legs, visually identical to the weaker Aranea Mu. It appears as the boss of the Spring Trial mini-dungeon during the Temple Incursion side quest.

The Aranea Antrum is a scripted, one-time encounter at the start (A1) of the Spring Trial, reached during the Temple Incursion side quest. It is a stronger relative of the Prologue Spider and the Aranea Mu, reusing the same body but with tougher versions of their attacks.
Combat
The fight is gated by a Barrier Eye that shields the Aranea Antrum, preventing it from taking damage or break accumulation from Juno's normal attacks. To break the shield, Juno must shoot one of the Impulse Emitters with an Aether attack, which temporarily disables it. Parries still build break accumulation even while the shield is up. The shield shuts off automatically once the boss is broken and does not reactivate until it recovers, at which point it returns immediately. The boss has no elemental resistances or weaknesses.
Phase 1
The Aranea Antrum alternates between three attacks. It swings a leg in an arc in front of it, which can be parried; parrying causes an immediate second swing, but parrying that does not trigger a third. It lunges forward and stabs the ground with a leg, then channels energy into the floor to send a trail of small shockwaves chasing Juno. It can also slowly approach and slam its body down for a large shockwave, after which a few scattered rocks rain from the sky. When broken, it slumps and takes extra damage for several seconds; on recovering it performs a stomping pursuit, creating a small shockwave with each step before returning to its standard attacks.
Phase 2 (45% HP)
At 45% HP the boss enters Phase 2: it automatically recovers from any break and restores some of Juno's HP. It opens Phase 2 with the stomping attack even if it was not broken. The swing and stab attacks become stronger. The swing is now immediately followed by a weaker, shockwave-less stab, and if parried the swing repeats up to three times; it still follows a single parried swing with the stab, but not a double or triple parry. The stab attack now sends three trails of shockwaves spreading out in all directions.
Drops
The Aranea Antrum always drops an Aranea Mu Essence on defeat. Essences serve as crafting and upgrade materials.
Tips
Keep an Aether option ready for the Impulse Emitters. The boss is invulnerable to normal hits until the Barrier Eye is down, so unloading damage before disabling the shield is wasted.
Parry the opening leg swing. Even while shielded the parry builds break accumulation, so clean parries chip away at its break bar before the shield drops.
In Phase 2, respect the multi-trail stab. The shockwaves spread in all directions, so dodge through a gap rather than trying to outrun them.
