Torch City is the animal metropolis at the heart of ZOOPUNK. Official copy describes the game as chronicling the city's turbulent origins and calls it a metropolis on the brink of revolution. It is the same city that appears in F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch, but ZOOPUNK is set decades earlier, so what the game shows is the city long before the state the later game finds it in.

The City in the War
The city is not presented as a safe hub in the material shown so far. The First Torch War is described as leaving it in chaos, and the extended gamescom trailer frames the heroes' raid on the enemy's fortified domain as a race to protect a Torch City that is already threatened. The studio has grouped the game under what it calls the Torch City saga, which suggests the city is the throughline rather than one location among many.
Relationship to the Later Game
Because the two games share a city and a protagonist, it is tempting to read the later game's map, districts and landmarks back onto this one. Nothing supports that. TiGames has confirmed only the era, the name and the broad condition of the city, and the two games are structured completely differently: one is a two-dimensional metroidvania, the other a three-dimensional action game covered on Gameplay. No district, street, landmark or building in ZOOPUNK's Torch City has been named or shown in isolation.
