Removed repeated body wikilinks, keeping the first occurrence of each target
11The Steelsworn is the Legion of Truth melee body, a Tier 1 infantry unit built at the Legion Barracks for 50 hexite in 24 seconds. Two hundred health, an armour value of 1 and Medium armour make it the durable half of the faction early game, and its Steel Pincers deal 15 damage a swing with +100% against Light armour. Range 1.2 means it has to be in contact to do any of that, and it cannot attack air at all.2233Figures below describe the September 2026 Early Access build, the one carrying the identifier ZS.c36778, and they move with the weekly patch cadence. Roughly half the versus roster had a stat touched in the fortnight before that build was captured, so treat every number here as dated rather than permanent.4455Stat Block6677StatValueCost50 hexite, no fluxHealth200Shields0Armor1Armor typeMediumStatus resistNone listedMove speed550Vision16Supply2Build time24 secondsTier1DomainGround unitHotkeyWInfuse cost2.5Reanimate cost2.5Replicate cost2.5Built byLegion BarracksUnlocked byLegion BarracksResearched atCitadel, and the Terror Tower for the Tier 2 upgrade88Weapons991010WeaponDamageDPSRangeCooldownTargetsBonusesSteel Pincers15111.21.37sGround+100% against Light armour1111Abilities12121313None. The name and the effect disagree in the source and this page records the effect as published.19192020Saw is worth doing the maths on. The base weapon already carries +100% against Light, and Saw is written as an additional +100%. If the two bonuses add, a Steelsworn with Saw swings for 45 against a Light target instead of 15, which is the largest single upgrade jump in the Legion Tier 1 roster. The catalogue does not spell out whether the two stack additively or multiplicatively, so treat 45 as the reading rather than a certainty.21212222Conversion Costs23232424Reanimate is the Legion conversion mechanic, paid out of the same top bar power pool as the Grell Infuse and the Xol Replicate. While the unit lives it attacks and moves 30% faster. When it dies it gets back up, 30% slower than the original, and keeps fighting.25252626The Steelsworn is eligible for all three conversions at an identical 2.5 power each. A reanimated Steelsworn is a second 200 health body that already has an armour value, which is a better return than the same power spent on a Thrall.27272828Role29293030This is the unit the Legion puts in front. Two hundred health with 1 armour is the stat line that survives chip damage, and the +100% bonus against Light is aimed squarely at the cheap ranged infantry every faction opens with, including the Legion own Thralls in a mirror. Fifteen damage becomes 30 against those targets and potentially 45 once Saw lands.31313232Everything else about the unit is a limitation. Range 1.2 is contact range, so a Steelsworn only deals damage if it closes, and 550 move speed is not fast enough to close on anything that wants to leave. It cannot shoot air, which means a Steelsworn line needs Thralls or a Dreadnought to cover it. Performance Enhancers at Tier 2 is the upgrade that addresses the first problem, taking move speed to 675.33333434Faction Context35353636The Steelsworn carries the data tag that marks Legion thrall bodies, so it can be fed to a Ritual Site like a Thrall can. At 2 supply it is worth +100 health and +10 attack damage to the Emperor Projection, twice what a Thrall gives, which makes it the efficient sacrifice when supply rather than hexite is the constraint.37373838Mounted on a Mammoth it adds +3 armour to the beast, the only rider bonus in the faction that touches armour rather than speed or damage.39394040Tier and Armour Interactions41414242Medium armour with an armour value of 1 sits in the middle of the table in both senses. Armor is also a number held separately from the type. It subtracts flat damage from every hit with a floor of 1 damage, so it blunts fast weak attacks far more than single heavy ones. One point is not much, but against a swarm of small hits it matters more than the number suggests.43434444Medium is also the armour type that absorbed the deleted harvester type on August 11, 2026, so every bonus against Medium in the game now points at harvesters, extractors and the Steelsworn alike. The Grell Skrell at +100% against Medium and the Legion own Exalted at +50% are both natural answers to a Steelsworn line.45454646Counters47474848Strong Against49495050TargetWhyLight armoured infantry+100% against Light turns 15 damage into 30, before the Saw upgrade.Cheap ranged openers200 health and 1 armour absorb the chip damage those units rely on.5151Weak To52525353ThreatWhyAnything with rangeRange 1.2 is contact range and 550 move speed does not close a gap quickly.Air unitsSteel Pincers targets ground only. It is the only place the full stat block is published, and it is not a studio document, so the figures are best read as careful community documentation of a build rather than as an official specification. Dated balance notes, by contrast, come straight from the studio patch posts.
