Removed repeated body wikilinks, keeping the first occurrence of each target
11The Endari Impaler is not a unit you hire. It is the alternate form the Endari hero Umbra takes for 20 seconds when she uses her Transform ability, and it exists as a separate entity with its own stats rather than as a set of buffs applied to the hero. The Endari are a mercenary group folded into a main faction army rather than played on their own, so an Impaler only appears in a match where the Endari have been hired and their hero is on the field.2233Figures below describe the September 2026 Early Access build, the one carrying the identifier ZS.c36778, and they move with the weekly patch cadence. This entity has taken changes in each of the last three balance passes to touch the Endari, so read the numbers as dated.4455Stat Block6677StatValueCostNone. The Impaler has no purchase price of its own because it is not recruited. Umbra pays for it with a 90 second ability cooldown, and she is hired for 220 hexite.Health500Shields0Armor2Armor typeHeroStatus resist70Move speed500Vision16Supply0. The form costs no supply of its own; Umbra already occupies 10.Build timeNone. Mercenary units are hired at an outpost rather than constructed, so the game publishes no build time for them.TierNot assigned. The entity record publishes no tier for this form, because alternate forms sit outside the tier ladder that hired units use.DomainGround unitDuration20 seconds, after which Umbra revertsInfuse costNot eligibleReanimate costNot eligibleReplicate costNot eligibleBuilt byNothing. Splash covers a radius of 1 at full damage.1111Abilities12121313The Impaler form has no abilities of its own. Umbra's Jump and Cloak belong to her base form and are unavailable while she is transformed, which is part of the cost of using Transform at all.14141515Conversion Costs16161717The Impaler is not eligible for Infuse, Reanimate or Replicate. That is consistent across the game: hero entities and their alternate forms sit outside the conversion system that hired units use, and the top bar power those conversions draw on is described on Resources and Economy.18181919Role20202121Transform is a burst window, not a state you leave a hero in. Umbra in her base form is a ranged skirmisher with 250 health doing 23 damage at range 12. For 20 seconds the Impaler doubles her health pool to 500, gives her 2 armour where she had none, raises her status resist from 60 to 70, and replaces the ranged attack with a 50 damage melee swing that splashes over a radius of 1. Damage per second roughly climbs from 15 to 33, and survivability climbs further than that.22222323The sequence the form is designed around is Jump into a formation, then Transform, because Jump is unavailable once the transformation has happened. Twenty seconds is enough for roughly thirteen swings, and a 90 second cooldown means the window is a once per engagement resource rather than a repeatable one. Range 2 means the Impaler has to be standing inside the enemy army for any of it to matter.24242525The armour value of 2 is the underrated part. Against small repeated hits, 2 subtracted from every shot with a floor of 1 is a much larger effective health increase than the raw 500 suggests, which is why the form holds up in the middle of massed infantry far better than Umbra does.26262727Faction Context28282929Umbra is the Endari hero, listed on Heroes and Commanders alongside the other mercenary and main faction leaders, and like every hero she rebuilds after 60 seconds rather than being lost permanently. She was called She Who Stalks until a rename landed alongside the wider Endari naming pass in late August 2026, and the Impaler's own entity description was rewritten at the same time to name Umbra instead.30303131Because it is a hero form rather than a hired unit, the Impaler is unaffected by which structures the Endari have on the field. It is available as soon as Umbra is, and it is not produced by Silent Hollow or by the Awoken Hollow the way the rest of the roster is.32323333Tier and Armour Interactions34343535The Impaler carries Hero armour, which is one of the six armour types in the build alongside Light, Medium, Heavy, Building and None. Hero armour is the rarest of the six and very few weapons carry a bonus against it, so the practical effect is that most enemy armour bonuses simply do not apply to an Impaler at all. That is a large part of why the form survives contact that would kill a comparably sized Medium or Light unit.36363737Status resist 70 reduces the duration and the displacement of crowd control applied to it. The Valkaru Tow Bot's Pull, for example, has its pull distance cut by status resist, so an Impaler at 70 is dragged a short fraction of the distance an Endari Shade would be.38383939Counters40404141Strong againstWhyMassed light infantry50 damage with splash over a radius of 1, and 2 armour subtracting from every small hit coming back.Crowd controlStatus resist 70 cuts both the duration and the displacement of most control effects.Armour bonus specialistsHero armour is rarely carried as a bonus target, so most specialist weapons do flat damage to it.4242Weak toWhyThe clockThe form lasts 20 seconds and cannot be extended. Stalling an Impaler out is a complete answer to it.Anything airborneHungering Lance targets ground only, so the form cannot touch a flier.Being kitedRange 2 and move speed 500. A faster ranged unit never has to be hit by it.Large single hits2 armour barely matters against a weapon doing 50 or more per shot.4343Balance History44444545DateChangeLate August 2026Entity description rewritten to name Umbra after the hero was renamed from She Who Stalks. The form itself was not renamed.July 30, 2026Transform armor reduced by 2. Transform cooldown increased from 70 seconds to 90 seconds. ABES orbs removed from the form.July 25, 2026Impaler form weapon cooldown increased from 1 second to 1.5 seconds. Attacks needed to trigger orbs reduced from 6 to 5.4646Notes47474848The roster record for this entity is marked partial, and two fields are genuinely absent rather than unresearched. There is no cost, because the Impaler is never purchased. There is no tier, because the entity record leaves the tier field empty for alternate forms. The source also publishes no engine identifier for it, unlike every hired unit in the group. None of the three is a gap in the data that a later pass could fill; they are properties of what this entity is.49495050The Impaler is one of seven Endari entries on the versus roster, and two of the seven are not independent units. This one is a hero form, and the Awoken Hollow is the flying form of the group's outpost building. The five units you actually hire are the Shade, the Needler, the Wyrm, the Devourer and the Shadow Leech. For how forms, tiers and armour fit the wider system see Units.
