Removed repeated body wikilinks, keeping the first occurrence of each target
11The Ghost Crab is the cheapest unit in any mercenary roster, ordered five at a time from the Cha'Kru Kingdom Temple of Stars at one supply each. Mercenary groups are hired into a main faction army rather than played on their own, and the Ghost Crab is the most disposable thing that arrangement can produce. It has one attack, Explosive Carapace, and using it destroys the crab. Sixty health and no role beyond running at something and detonating.2233Figures below describe the September 2026 Early Access build, the one carrying the identifier ZS.c36778, and they move with the weekly patch cadence. Roughly half the versus roster had a stat touched in the fortnight before that build was captured, so treat every number here as dated rather than permanent.4455Stat Block6677StatValueCost75 hexite and 100 flux for a batch of five, which is 15 hexite and 20 flux eachHealth60Shields0Armor0Armor typeLightStatus resistNone publishedMove speed650Vision16Supply1 per crabBuild timeNone. There is no second use, and the splash is full strength across its whole radius rather than falling off with distance, so a crab detonating in the middle of a group deals 40 to every ground unit in it, or 80 to each one carrying Light armour.12121313Abilities14141515No separate ability is published. The self destruction is a property of Explosive Carapace.16161717Upgrades18181919No upgrades are published for the Ghost Crab.20202121Conversion Costs22222323The Ghost Crab is eligible for Infuse, Reanimate and Replicate at 2 power each, the cheapest conversion in the game, paid from the top bar pool described on Resources and Economy. Replicating a crab for 2 power is close to free, though it is worth remembering that what you get back is still a unit that dies the first time it attacks.24242525Role26262727At 15 hexite and 20 flux per crab, the Ghost Crab is priced as ammunition rather than as a unit. Five of them at one supply each is five supply for 200 damage delivered in one moment, or 400 if the target group is Light armoured. That is the whole calculation. Move speed 650 is fast enough to reach most things, and 60 health is low enough that a crab caught on the way in has contributed nothing.28282929Against Light armour the crabs are close to an execution. A Light armoured group standing together takes 80 from each crab that reaches it, and a five crab order deletes almost anything in that category. Against Heavy armour, and against any target with a meaningful armour value, the flat 40 is unremarkable and the trade is bad.30303131One group talent interacts with this unit specifically. Immortal Lineage, the Cha'Kru Kingdom talent at faction level 2, revives units at 50 percent health when they are killed, and it was changed on July 30, 2026 to stop reviving Ghost Crabs. Reviving a one supply unit whose entire purpose is to die would have made the cheapest unit in the game effectively free.32323333Counters34343535Strong Against36363737TargetWhyLight armoured groupsThe +100 percent bonus doubles 40 to 80, and the splash is full strength across 3 range.Clumped ground armiesFull strength splash means every additional body in the radius is another 40 or 80 damage for the same crab.Anything expensiveFifteen hexite and twenty flux per crab makes almost any trade favourable in resources.3838Weak To39394040ThreatWhyAnything with range60 health at one supply. The crab occupies one supply in the army, and separately occupies two supply of capacity inside a transport since August 11, 2026.The Ghost Crab is the smaller of the two Temple of Stars crabs. The other is the Clakjaw, which is built to survive rather than to detonate.Per unit numbers are drawn from a community maintained entity catalogue that the studio links from each of its own faction pages. It is the only place the full stat block is published, and it is not a studio document, so the figures are best read as careful community documentation of a build rather than as an official specification. Dated balance notes, by contrast, come straight from the studio patch posts. For the group talents that shape how these are played, see Cha'Kru Kingdom. For the wider roster this unit joins, see Units.
