Windrose Support is the official feedback platform launched by Kraken Express on April 28, 2026 as part of the late-April community update. It is the new primary channel for bug reports, feature suggestions, troubleshooting help, and feature voting during Early Access. The platform is in beta at launch and is English-only. It is gradually replacing the studio's Discord help server as the main support route, although Discord support remains available during the transition.
Windrose Support is built around three core duties. Each is a separate function on the platform, designed to handle a specific kind of request without forcing players through a single chat backlog.
Function | Purpose | Player Action |
|---|---|---|
Troubleshooting Database | Grouped, written-up solutions for common issues including connectivity, save files, performance, and known crashes. | Search the database before reporting; many fixes are documented step-by-step. |
Bug Report Form | Category-routed submission form for confirmed bugs, with fields for build version, repro steps, and attachments. | Submit a fresh report when the issue is not in the database; tag with the category that matches the system involved. |
Idea Suggestion And Vote | Public list of feature suggestions where any signed-in user can post an idea and vote existing ideas up. | Vote on suggestions you want prioritized; submit new ones when the same idea is not already in the list. |
The April 28, 2026 community update framed the rollout as a response to the volume of feedback the launch month surfaced. Discord support was workable during launch week but did not scale once the live audience held above 200,000 concurrent and the bug surface broadened across the three Procedural Biomes, base-building, and combat. A dedicated platform with categorized routing, persistent search, and a public vote stack was the studio's answer.
The platform also gives Kraken Express a public preference signal. When the team prioritizes quality-of-life and content among the items called out in the Roadmap, the vote stack on the suggestion list is the closest thing to a player-driven priority queue that exists today.
Bug reports filed through the platform feed directly into the team's backlog. Two of the patches that shipped in the days after launch reflect the platform's intake: Patch Notes details the April 30 stability and building-pieces patch (Hotfix 0.10.0.4.268) and the May 4 Steam Cloud save overhaul (Hotfix 0.10.0.5.120). Both patches addressed clusters of issues the platform helped surface, including idle-CPU regressions, FrameGen stutter on closing inventory, save-corruption risk on multi-PC setups, and forty-plus building-piece gaps.
Windrose Support is not a real-time chat channel. Players who need real-time help, mid-session crash debugging, or quick coordination should still use community channels. The platform is intentionally async; submissions and votes are read by the team in batches rather than answered live. It is also not the place to file account or billing questions, which still route through Steam Support directly.
The platform launched in English only. Kraken Express has said additional languages may follow as the platform stabilizes, but no timeline has been published. Players outside English-speaking regions can still file reports; the team accepts auto-translated submissions, although a clear English summary speeds up triage.
Discord remains live during the transition. Kraken Express has said the help-and-support channels on the official Discord will retire over time as the platform absorbs their traffic. Community channels (off-topic, screenshots, multiplayer matchmaking) are not affected by the change. Players who want to keep filing bugs through Discord can continue to do so during the transition; the studio has said the platform's bug-report form is the preferred path because it carries category routing the Discord channels do not.
